Drama viewership ratings for the week of Apr. 8-14, 2019

Time to check in with our shows once again. Over on the Monday-Tuesday slot, sageuk Haechi settled into the top spot with 7 to 8 percent ratings. Monday also saw the premiere of Special Labor Inspector Jo, which replaced the not-so-popular thriller Item.
There wasn’t much change in the Wednesday-Thursday slot, but there was the addition of Park Min-young and Kim Jae-wook’s Her Private Life, a look into the world of secret fangirls. And based on the drama’s initial ratings, I’d say viewers are perfectly happy having Park Min-young in another cutesy rom-com.
If the last third of the chart is looking a bit empty, fear not, it is not your screen. Nielsen Korea was unable to distribute the rest of this week’s ratings due to a technical error. All shall be restored soon. (Note: Fixed!)

With double-digit viewership, Doctor Prisoner is the top performer right now. I have a question? When you say a series gets 10.0%, is that figure representing the percentage of total viewer population or households? And how do ratings of cable shows differ from that of non-cable dramas? When a cable show and a non-cable show get 10.0% each, does that mean the percentage of viewers/household watching them are equal?

I am a bit behind my shows due to rewatching Reply 1988 (still good the second time around). Still, I am sad that Possessed isn't getting more eyes, but I am happy about Doctor Prisoner. There are a lot of missing ratings here even though the shows aired.

I felt that Her Private Life had a good premiere, 2.5% seems low ... thought they would be able to retain the Reach of Sincerity audience. Both have similar feel: light fluffy rom-com. Plus PMY has her stan-mate in HPL!
