  1. Boy over flour

There’s this drama that’s been on my mind forever. I watched it a few years ago but I didn’t save it so now when I want to watch it again, I have no record of it I cant even remember the name.

I remember small parts that stuck out to me. The plot was a man and a woman owning a bakery together either engaged or married. I don’t know. The man cheats on her with another woman that the first woman took pity on and allowed her to work at the bakery. She finds out about the affair and breaks things off with him and in the meantime she’s having a second thing going on with another guy. The cheating guy regrets it and tries to get back with her.

Please I need to see this show again, I remember it being absolutely amazing. If you could find it, you would be downright super.

  2. Come for revenge, stay for the romance

I have been looking for this drama where the female lead’s boyfriend is cheating on her. When she finds out, she works together with the other woman’s boyfriend to take revenge on both cheaters. In the process, they fall in love with each other. Please help. Thank you.

  3. Granny power

I remember reading a description of this show. Some loan sharks were laughing at a grandma and the next thing they know, they’re beat up and tied down by the granny. It sounds funny. Can someone please help me find this show?

  4. Girl power (times two)

I’m trying to remember two shows from only two snippets.

In the first show there’s a group date. One of the boys looks down on the girls but one of the girls is very strong and beats the loud guy at a drinking game.

In the second show, there’s a tiny woman who is excited to drive a giant truck.

I don’t have any more details. Please help me remember both shows!

  5. Kids these days

In the Korean Designated Survivor, a Blue House staff jokes that no one will invade SK cos the teenagers are scary. I remember an older K-drama using this joke. There were a group of high schoolers threatening a meek adult and they said the youth are the reason enemies are scared of invading SK. Does anyone remember what show this was?

Thanks for playing, everyone — till next time!

4.1. It sounds like one of the scene from Go Back Couple, though to be fair group date is a common scene in college drama
4.2. It's Moon-soo in the Just Between Lovers
5. I swear this one sounds familiar, like a conversation between married couple, but I couldn't remember the drama's name

No. 3 could be a scene from Witch's Love (2018).

Or is it Strong Woman Bong Soon? Isn't there a scene where her gramma kicks butt? Just not sure if it's lone sharks or just a bunch of run-of-the-mill thugs.

@holly-burns, In ep. 2 of Witch's Love the granny and the aunt went to loan sharks to get money to pay the money for their house but the loan sharks laughed at them and talked about their organs/corpses so the two women took their revenge and hit the two men and tied the leader to the wall

Isnt #1 a part of the plot of the family drama Five Children? except I dont think the husband ever tries to get back with the wife

Yes! It sounds so similar except for the part where the cheating husband tries to get back... he did try to stop the heroine from marrying again, so maybe that got confused with jealousy by the beanie who sent the question?

Number two could be any number of shows. My first guess was Sophie's Revenge, but that's a Chinese film with So Ji Sub as the second lead. That's also a sub plot in the drama Personal Taste- Lee Min Ho, Son Ye Jin, Kim Ji Suk, and "In Hee bot".

I think #1. is Taiwanese drama love keeps going.

My thought as well. It was a hot mess of a script as a lot of Taiwanese dramas are, but strangely compelling anyway.

Boy over flour-
Sounds like “Moonlight Resonance”, a Hong Kong drama

Moonlight Resonance is my all-time favorite TVB drama. It is "absolutely amazing" like Beanie 1 remembers, but Ho Ma (Louise Lee) did not have "a second thing going on with another guy." Raymond Lam and Linda Chung's love line gave my butterflies, butterflies. I could never get over Tavia Yeung liking her brother Moses Chan, though.

Completely missed the part about jilted wife having a fling of her own, whoops 😅😅
I loved “Moonlight Resonance” in the first watch, and the first few rewatches after, but then it began to get super old really fast 😅😅 Maybe it was because of my fast and changing preferences in dramas lol Their sibling-not-sibling-then-turned-lovers plot never really really irked me or made me uncomfortable, since it was made known from the beginning that they are not blood related..... That’s why when they do the same thing in Korean dramas (having adopted siblings fall in love with one another), I’m like “Meh ~~”, BUT when dramas create this sort of love-line between STEP-siblings, that’s when it starts to get iffy for me, because for step siblings, the parents are legally married and presumably sexually intimate

I think Moonlight Resonance withstands the test of time. I still cry every time Tavia Yeung runs away from home and when Wayne Lai stands up for Louise Lee against Michelle Yim. So your problem was Raymond Lam and Linda Chung being step-siblings, which was why his dad and her mom split them up as kids? My problem was at the beginning, Moses Chan never liked Tavia Yeung romantically, then out of nowhere liked her back.

Yes!!! The scene where Wayne Lai stands up for Louise Lee is my favourite

Yes, I had problems with the step siblings plot, and Linda’s character was actually a bit too weak for me... Is that mean to say?? 😅

It was super late, but I saw a little bit of something between Moses’ and Tavia’s characters, so their relationship turning romantic didn’t turn me off too badly

0

YES, it definitely sounded like Moonlight Resonance to me too!! and @panshel it's my all-time favourite TVB drama too :D loveddd the sibling relationships and all the various lovelines, even with annoying Aunt Sa ruining literally everything all the time :<

p.s. I rarely comment on DB and have never successfully guessed a drama but I just HAD to scroll to see if anyone else thought #1 was Moonlight Resonance hehehe

#2 reminds me of the Taiwanese drama Pursuit of Happiness, where the FL's male friend (who had promised to marry her if they were both still single at a certain age) gets engaged to the ML's ex-gf who the ML wanted to get back with (or something like that).

So of course she hatches a plan together with the ML to break up the couple & there's also some cohabitation hi-jinx.

Doesn't quite fit with the cheating description. But it does have an extremely hot make-out scene in a car. Thought I'd just mention that.

And I actually remember that joke from #5 but I can't remember what drama it was from.

*just realise I've been no help whatsoever *

Is #4.1 perhaps THE THIRD CHARM, back in college?

Is #5 DELIGHTFUL GIRL CHUNHYANG? I saw this recently, and it seems familiar. Lee Mong-ryong was always fighting in the beginning.

As someone who has been reading these I get the feeling that I should throw out an answer regardless if I'm right or not. So here goes:

1. My Answer: Kim San Soon, 20% chance correct
b. Others Answer: Love Keeps Going, 99%

2. Mine: Birth of a Beauty, 40%

3. Mine: Mission Impossible: kidnapping Grandma K, 100% wrong
b. Others: Strong Woman Bong Soo, 60%

4A: Mine: only remember jajangmyeon scene from Coffee Prince
Ab. Apparently it's Go Back Couple
4B. Something with Park Bo Young
Bb. Read others.

5. Mine School 2013?, 1%
b Others: I haven't watched that series in a while (read others)

PS It would help to know when they watched the drama.

Item #2 reminds me of Birth of a Beauty though the woman was married to the guy and he wasn't just her boyfriend. (But he was going to divorce her so he could hook up with this other woman until a car accident seemed to kill her. She got plastic surgery and turned into Han Ye Seul and the guy who bankrolled it teamed up with her because he was interested in the girl her hubby was having an affair with. Lots of ID twists and turns in that but the chemistry was good. Wang Ji Hye played the rival woman and it was probably the most contemptible, evil role she's ever taken on. She's done 1 daily drama and about nothing since then.
