[Giveaway] BTS Limited Edition Bio Capsulin “Love Me” mask sets

Calling all BTS and K-beauty fans! We’re happy to announce a special giveaway. Dramabeans has partnered with Beautytap and Mediheal for a K-beauty giveaway. Ten lucky winners will receive a BTS Limited Edition Bio Capsulin “Love Me” mask set.

BTS needs no introduction, they’re one of the biggest music acts in the world. They’re crossing borders and boundaries and breaking records in ways that few acts have been able to (Korean or otherwise). This new mask set incorporate the BTS ethos with nourishing, skin-saving ingredients like jojoba oil, lavender, lilac, and viola tricolor extracts.

Whenever I see an idol or actor share their beauty routine, I pay attention. How do they keep their skin so clear despite all the heavy stage makeup? How do they have no pores? I’m not a beauty expert but I do love learning celebrities’ beauty routines and try to incorporate what I can into my daily routine. Turns out BTS and I have something in common–sheet masks!

Mediheal is one of the industry’s top K-beauty brands and they’re known for their innovative 2-step face masks (BTS are fans). The BTS mask set first launched in South Korea earlier this year–and sold out in less than 3 hours. Beautytap, U.S.-based company with a direct sourcing team located in South Korea, will be the exclusive U.S. supplier. We’re excited about this partnership and it’s easy to enter!

In order to win, leave a comment at the bottom of this post and tell us what you love about BTS.

The giveaway is open only to contestants in the U.S. and will end on Thursday, August 22, 2019. Good luck!

Giveaway Rules:

  • Leave a comment below telling us what you love about BTS.
  • You must be located in the U.S. to be eligible to enter.
  • Make sure to use a registered account on Dramabeans so we can contact you if you win.
  • There is no limit to the number of times you enter (though each entry should be unique). The contest will end on Thursday, August 22, at 11:00 PM, Pacific Time. (Here’s a handy-dandy time zone converter, so you can figure out what that is in your local time.)
  • We will announce winners next Sunday, September 1 , and email winners directly. If you have any questions in the meantime, email us at hello@dramabeans.com

I am indeed in the US, yay! What I love about BTS is first of all thier complete artistry. Everything from thier songs, albums, music videos, choreography, and live performances are meticulously prepared with love, sincerity, and passion with absolutely gorgeous results. Their music is melodic and catchy to casually listen to, but also embued with deeper meanings that criticizes societal expectations or help to foster self love and acceptance as a sampling of the thought that goes into the writing of the song, the production process of which the members actively participate. They members utterly lack a single ounce of pretension and have remained at their core the same people we met when they debuted. Just watch thier various vlive broadcast and shows or thier Bangtan tv clips and episodes. They are so funny and charming! There are so many more things I love about them, but it might turn into a book length post. BTS is just the best!

There are so many things I love about BTS. One of the biggest reasons I love BTS is because they make me and my friends happy. Our love of BTS is one of the things me and my friends share in common, and is often the subject of our conversations. It makes me feel more connected with my friends at school, and I'm grateful to have found BTS.

So many reasons! I loved their 'Love Yourself' concept so much. I love how they always give everything they do 200%. They have never released a song that I did not like. It's amazing that all of their voices sound so different, but they're all so amazing and beautiful!

RM - Our beautiful leader and president! Such a beautiful and genius mind! His love for crabs is so adorable, and I really fell in love with him when I saw how he mediated and helped the communication between Jin and V when they argued before the concert in the BTS Burn the Stage YouTube documentary!
Jin - I love his dad jokes and personality. I love the confidence that he exudes, and how he uses every opportunity to blow a kiss! AND he loves to cook and work out, how perfect can he get?
Suga - The most adorable grandpa at heart, but so much swag on stage!
J-Hope - Our vitamin sunshine! I die whenever he sings. Daydream was the best!
Jimin - Fell in love with his voice for 'Serendipity'. Love love love his dancing as well.
V - Such a unique tone to his singing, and such a unique personality! I love his style!
Jungkook - Golden Maknae is so good at everything! Amazing at singing and dancing, and amazing stage presence. UGHHHH I JUST LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH!

I'm so happy to be born during the time of BTS, and be able to watch them from debut until now, and see even more growth in the future! They really make me feel like I was born at the perfect time.

They work so hard to provide ARMY with amazing content! Thank you!! <3

P.S. Play BTS World, it's awesome!!

LOL I love their song 'Dope', it was one of the first reasons I got into Kpop... and recently when I re-listened to the it and realized the actual title is '쩔어' I literally died a little bit inside, it was so hilarious. 10/10, love that song^^

What I love about BTS… There is so much to say that I don’t know where to start, but I will try. Firstly, I like BTS for their music. The amazing vocals, the catchy tunes, the thoughtful lyrics, the kickass choreography, and the stylish and boyish visuals; these are all the things I could get lost in for hours. But I love them even more for their authenticity, their character, and the positive message they bring to the world. Through their interviews and shows and videos, I learned the messages they spread; that is to love yourself, to love what you do, to work hard, to be humble and grateful, to be kind, and to never forget to make those around you laugh. I love them for the joy they bring to me, and to the rest of the millions of ARMYs around the world. Keep doing you, BTS. I will be supporting you, always.

What's to love about BTS? Many would say it's because of their music, their passion, their message and manymore. All of them true. That I can't deny. But since I'm here to win the mask, I will simply say I love them because they are SEXY, no matter what they do.

-- Have you seen RM with his undercut hairstyle during his early years or the recent times he's wearing shorts? Or do you prefer him to be one with nature?
-- Have you seen the golden maknae with his long curly hair at the airport or at a concert? Hmmm!!
-- Have you seen Jimin performs on stage? (He's such a perfectionist on stage, every movement is a thing of beauty. Watch the Jimin focus of Dimple during the recent Muster as a proof.)
-- Have you seen Taehyung do a vlive in white shirt and unknowingly give ARMYS heart attacks when he decided to lie down on the bed?
-- What about Jin wearing oversized pink hoodies or Thom Browne accessories to the airport? What's not to love about it?
-- Or Jhope's beautiful lower register during his performance of "Make It Right" on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. That dude can rap, and sing.
-- Then, there's Suga doing his best dancing as he sings "dropping the cheesecake". Or better yet, simply let his lyrics do the talking for him. You'll know why.

Those are the reasons I love BTS.

I love the fact that BTS and their music are things that my daughter and I can get excited about together. We count down the days until a new album comes out. We watch Run!BTS episodes together. I never thought I would listen to kpop, but having a BTS fan in the family has introduced me to it -- and guess what? I LOVE IT!

Hi Dramabeans, I'm currently not in the US. But I will leave for New York on August 29th, 2019 to pursue my master degree until my graduation in May 2021. So, I hope I'm eligible to win.

What do I love about BTS? Well, I stopped obsessing into K-pop idols since 2009. Until I had to replace my sister's work to translate some videos on V Live and one of them was "Run BTS!" I couldn't stop laughing when they played mafia games, and J-hope thought he was an X-man and seems really hard to pretend he was not and holding a smile all the time. I thought he was too. And the video got more than 5 million views, it's the first time I got that much impression for my translation. So it also the first time I knew that BTS is the biggest boyband in the world right now.

That made me curious, what made BTS so phenomenal apart from their unknown agency. So I watched their MVs and also watched variety shows that were there. Finally, I understood that their songs were not only about romanticism between men and women but also about the problems of the world today. They also seem to have their own strengths in each concept of their songs.

Maybe out of all of the Kpop idols now, I really admire RM the most. This is the first time I want to follow in the footsteps of a K-pop idol, not as a singer, but as someone who cares about world issues. His speech at the UN was very cool and also he was a super genius. Although he is a genius, he is not arrogant by directly expressing his own opinion. He will listen to others in advance before he finally expresses his own opinion. That was proven when he solved Brainteaser On "Problematic Man" and so many other events.

People have different reasons to like their idols, but for me, nothing is more stunningly beautiful than a man with a good brain on their shoulders.

I first figured out BTS through my friends and hey showed me by listening to it. That day I was really sad since I felt like I failed my test but their music had a calming effect to it. I listened to spring day and blood sweat and tears. They showed me the mv of them and it was something that I have never seen before. They eventually told me about how the songs had meaning to them and it made me like BTS more!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ To this day I want to thank them for cheering up my day!!!!

I'm all for the inspiration because it give me someone (or some people) to look up to when I need to get off my butt, mentally and physically.
Also, V is just so funny 😁

What's not to love? It's a feat to transcend borders and be as popular as they are, not only globally, but specifically in the US as well. Their hard work, unique individual personalities, and a bit of luck have gotten them far. I love that they can still be humble in the face of all their success and wish them the best of luck in continued success and growth.

I love that I feel their sincerity and authenticity. They are easy to stan because they seem like genuinely good people. As fans, we can only know them to a point, but watching them interact with each other and their staff, they seem to be kind and considerate people. I came across BTS at a pretty dark period in my life. At first it was a welcomed distraction but the more I watched them, the more I started to think of ways I can build a beautiful life for myself.

What I love about BTS, where to begin haha... When it comes down to it I love them for their talent and how they are very genuine which shows through their music. I also know how hard they worked to be in the position they are now; a true Cinderella story. I like how they’ve remained humble and thankful. 💜

Oh what the hell. In his UN speech, RM was all about “speak yourself” so apologies if this is too personal and boring, but here it is…

What I love about BTS is that I didn't love them straightaway. I come from a performing background (I was a professional dancer from my mid-teens to my mid-twenties, and yes, even went on tour) so I tend to be highly critical of performances, particularly when it comes to dance and choreography. I can spend hours dissecting Kpop groups and talk about who relies on power versus finesse, who has the best port de bras, who really improved their turn technique, etc. I can’t help it. Like many a dancer, I started in ballet, training with Royal Ballet soloists and watching my aunt dance Giselle in the studios of the Paris Opera. I was taught to respect perfection, to worship it even, because perfection only comes at the price of hard work and dedication, and there is nothing, nothing more magical than that moment when you feel your body suddenly being able to do something it was never able to do before. This part of my life influenced a lot of my tastes: I adored ballerina Sylvie Guillem because she could do moves more perfectly than anybody else. I was fascinated by Usain Bolt because his ability to outrun literally anyone. To this day, I will burst into tears while listening to Whitney Houston because what she can do with that voice is nothing short of miraculous.
What does that have to do with BTS, you say? Well, here we go. BTS are not perfect. They are not even, from a purely and strictly technical point of view, the best at what they do. You can find other idols who reach higher notes, have more resonance, spin faster and tighter, do more controlled body rolls, etc. Old me watched one of their stages and was only moderately impressed. Then I started watching more videos: performance videos first, before moving on to music videos, dance practice videos, behind-the-scenes videos, scenes of them messing up, scenes of them doing the best they could with equipment that didn’t always work. I particularly remember one video where Jimin and Suga are holding a mike stand and doing all they can to finish the song without dropping it on the audience as the mike didn’t have a base. And that’s when it hit me: BTS does not give a tiny rat’s ass about being perfect. They care about being honest. They care about being themselves. They care about being raw, and vulnerable, and strong, and hard, and soft, and open, and generous. They care giving it their all, all the time, dogmatic standards be damned, because ultimately, really, who care about how many turns Jimin can do? Who cares about Suga not being able to sing in a soprano register? Really, who cares about perfection, when you have a group of people so dedicated to making everything both unforgettable and deeply personal? It’s about the moment they create, not the techniques they use to create them. I saw their concert in Los Angeles at the beginning of their Love...

Yourself: Speak Yourself tour and I was deeply impressed. I will never forget the image I have of RM walking down that long stage in his flowy-robe thing. He looked sixty feet tall and he wasn’t even singing. I had been so narrow-minded my whole life, only focusing about the technical aspect of art, when there is so much more to be expressed, and not necessarily through perfect means. At the risk at sounding a little too preachy, what I love about BTS is that they taught me a valuable lesson. They taught me that perfection might not be bad, but it is limiting. It is beautiful and hard to achieve, but that doesn’t mean it resonates with the world. On the other hand, honesty and vulnerability might lead you to break world records.

What do I love about bts let me count the things
1.) They saved me. They came to me in a time when I was transitioning from one phase in life to another. 2013 was the year that I started my senior year of high school. I had to start looking at colleges and scholarships. While in high school I was always the golden child who could do no wrong but March of 2014 I started to fail. I'd gotten these perfect grades, I'd taken all of the AP classes that were offered, I’d taken dual enrollment classes since the tenth grade. I'd worked myself to the bone having panic attack after panic attack and yet, in March I started to fail. I got rejected from all 7 of my top pick schools, I wasn't valedictorian or salutatorian because I got my first B of my high school year, all the scholarships I signed up for said I was too rich or too poor to qualify. I was in a limbo and got into my first bout of depression. I went into freshman year of college, depressed, scared and frustrated.I tanked my first year of college and was almost on academic probation. How a kid who used to have a 4.17 GPA could get on academic probation to this day still baffles me. The summer of 2015 I started to really listen to BTS. At that point I'd just been a casual fan but for some reason or another I decided to look up the lyrics of No More Dreams. That song and so many of their songs helped me through a really dark era. Jung Kook's line in verse two made me and makes me cry to this day. It wasn't the best written song they’ve had but it found me in my darkness. From there I was obsessed. It was almost as if they were talking to me in their music and in their videos. I saw myself in Jimin as he struggled with body issues. I saw myself in Suga as he struggled with anxiety and depression. I saw myself in JungKook as I learned how to grow up. I saw myself with all my loneliness (Whalian 52), all my frustration (N.O), my one sided frustrating crushes (What am I to you). They weren’t just talking about music they were talking about me. They saved me by making me save myself.

2.) They make me laugh. That isn’t something different or unique. I’ve always been a multifandom girl but one thing I’ve always loved were groups that were never too serious and could embarrass themselves. The likes of SHINee and 2PM. BTS feels like my 2nd generation SHINee. So talented yet so stupid. Everything they touch turns to gold and that makes me proud but then after that they’ll turn right around and wear banana suits and cry while watching the Lion King. Balance .

3.) They’re weak. I know that sounds like a con but it's one of my favorite things about them. They’re so weak it scares me and makes me proud. Their weaknesses are so glaring but so many people say they don’t see it. Maybe it's because I have so many of those same weaknesses that I like them.
RM and that fear of not being smart enough so you keep pushing. To be labeled smart so you constantly feel like you only positive is your mind. Not your humor, not your personality, not your soul, not your smile. To be smart at all times.
Jin and that weakness of humility. He lowers himself to his brother’s level every time even though many look down on him. He struggles everyday to become better than he was yet smiles even as he hears people trash him for being the ‘worst dancer and singer’.
Suga and being misunderstood. Suga dedicates himself a hundred percent to his music to the point where he’s said that he’ll work until 3-4 am daily just to finish his songs. Yets people joke and call him lazy because he likes to sleep due to exhaustion. He’s obsessed with his brothers but he’s also introverted so he doesn’t always interact with them the way others do so people call him cold and mean.
Jhope and being a liar. Jhope is my favorite member of the group but I have to be honest and say he lies. He constantly puts on this silly and friendly presence but it's been said over and over that as soon as the cameras are gone he’s reserved and quiet. I am exactly the same way. I suffer depressed moments constantly but all my friends think I’m the life of the party. I don’t want anyone to feel as sad and alone as I feel so I go out of my way to make others laugh. Jhope and I want to bring hope and joy to the world even if we don’t feel it ourselves. To bring warmth even if at the cost of us freezing.
Jimin and his need for love. I study Jimin often and he pushes himself to be perfect so he can get the praise of others. He wants love around him. He doesn’t like to be alone or to be ignored.
V and his past self. V started out as a very silly 4D kid who debuted at the age of 17. He was still finding himself and making a name for himself since he was hidden from fans until debut. He’s growing up and has experienced so many losses. He’s lost his grandparent, lost a beloved pet, lost a close friend to suicide (Ui Soo), a close sunbae to suicide (Jonghyun). He has had to push himself mentally to act in a drama while preparing for a new album. In all of this, he's grown up and the person he is now isn’t who he was before. He’s been fighting for a more mature feel yet not everyone wants to let him have it. I have to be honest and say for a long time I was one of those people.
Lastly Jongkook’s is obviously perfection. To the point that this boy wants to dance on torn ligaments and broken bones. To the point that even with shaky lungs and vertigo he wants to perform. He loves what he does more than he loves himself sometimes.

All of these things are...

4.) Their concepts. I am in no way a conspiracy theory fan girl. I am too lazy and too easily confused to do all the conspiracies that other ARMYs do but even with all that I love their concepts. I love the themes that they pick and what they represent. When they started the HYYH era music I lost my mind. So many amazing ideas and conspiracies. I couldn’t figure all of it out but so much of it kept me on my toes and intrigued for more. Then Wings hit and all was lost. So many ideas, so many confusing thoughts, so many sleepless nights watching videos. Everything was just too much. Yet still I loved it. I loved seeing the fans coming together and debating over what was going on. It felt so much like the old days when I was watching the Reply Series (just without any strong wishes to kill anyone). These concepts made me read books that I’d been curious to read and some that I never heard of (Demien, The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas, Parts of Paradise Lost, The tale of Icarus etc). It made people think of social injustices (Spring Day, Baepsae, The Last etc).

I want to write more but I think if I do, I may write a whole book. I’m already on my third page lol.

Not in the US so I can’t win this giveaway, but I’d still like to share why I like BTS.

I really like BTS because they have never compromised their being Korean. I feel like the Kpop industry has always held the view that the only way to achieve global success is to cater to an international audience, whether through trying to incorporate native English/Chinese/Japanese speakers in their groups, producing material in foreign languages, or giving their idols Western names. Whilst none of this is bad, what I love about BTS is that they prove that you do not need to pander to an international audience to have international success. None of the members are native speakers of any language other than Korean, none have lived outside of Korea, and they continuously promote Korean language and culture when visiting other countries. In doing so, they show that artists do not need to adjust themselves to attract an international audience. Instead, they have transcended cultural and linguistic barriers through the sincerity of their lyrics, their open personalities, and their polished artistry, and their music speaks to people from all over the world.

BTS stands out because of their company, Big Hit, who boldly differs from other companies in cultivating their artists. BTS is taught to be well-rounded, hands-on, hardworking while maintaining their individualities. As a result, their music resonates with many and themselves remain relatable and accessible, despite being now world superstars.

Never been so glad to live in the US!!! I could go on and on about ALL the reasons I love BTS. However, a main reason is how genuine and sincere these seven boys come across to ARMY in every aspect of their music. They are incredibly talented and have worked from the bottom up to get to where they are today. You can tell just how much their fans mean to them and because of that we give them just as much love in return.

Even if I don’t win the giveaway, I loved the opportunity to gush about my favorite group!

I personally don't like or listen to BTS' music. But even if I don't like their music I do love that they are as huge as they are and breaking the borders of music. They are introducing the world to kpop and South Korea and in a broader sense, Asia. More then Psy ever did who was more of a passing novelty. So even if I don't care for their music I am still happy they are as big as they are and hope it will make Asian music and media more mainstream here in North America and the US.

Ah, BTS. I remembered when I first saw them on the livingroom TV with their comeback “Blood, Sweat, and Tears” and I had no idea who they were (I’m from the era of Big Bang and 2PM so I don’t know these youngsters) – but as my nieces and nephews continued to play their catchy songs like “Dope” and “Fire” in the livingroom over and over again, I got sucked into the world of BTS. I found myself listening to more and more of their songs then looking up fan-made videos of BTS which made me love them even more! RM is a wonderful “father” to the members and it’s unbelievable how many electronic devices malfunction in his hands. Jin is the oldest member and a great “mother” to the members with his ridiculous dad jokes. Suga is so serious but I love how flustered he gets when fans throw compliments and love confessions his way. J-Hope is the team’s dance master but I was amazed at how well he can sing in “Make It Right”. He should sing more often. Jimin is just such a cute puppy and it still shocks me when his hand was compared to V’s hand – so small! V is a silly goof but I was stunned with his acting in Hwarang – this boy can act! Jung-kook is the youngest member and the prankster in the group but I’m very impressed with his singing and dancing skills as well as his professionalism when it comes to the stage at his age. Not to mention how adorably shy he is around IU - his biggest idol. Overall, I love BTS’s sincerity, shown through their music and the messages they send their fans, and enjoy seeing their goofiness behind the scenes when they’re not on stage being a professional.

That BTS are finally getting a vacation so they can have some personal time which even Rhianna says is important for one if you wish to continue to be successful professionally and personally. I hope their fans will grant them privacy but also that members of BTS do what they can to be under the radar as much as possible otherwise, it'll be a waste of time and more stressful.

I love how down to earth they are and how their songs are not "vapid" but really touch on big issues

I think, more than anything, I've grown to love the dynamic between all the boys in the group, and how loyal they are towards their fans. And that, despite their insane success, they remain modest and are constantly striving to improve; I just love to see all their hard work paying off!! Not to mention their music and dancing is catchy and amazing.

I also love how caring RM is towards all his members, and how he helps hold the group together; I love Jin's corny dad-jokes, and how happy cooking for the group makes him; I ADORE J-Hope's enthusiasm and outgoing personality (yes, he's my bias) and how he wants to be a beacon of hope to everyone; I love how Jimin is constantly striving for perfection, how he gives the very best of himself, despite already being immensely popular and talented; and Suga's amazing lyrics which speak of the struggles he went through to get where he is, and of course his love of sleeping, lol; and V's hilarious weirdness, not to mention his love of photography, and Panda Express; and watching Jong-kook grow and change after being with the group from such a crazy young age.

I just love everything about them. They've accomplished something amazing, and I can't wait to see how they continue to grow, create, and improve, while bringing joy to everyone their music touches!!

My friend introduced them to me when "Dope" was released which was also the time she discovered them. I admit I am not in general a big fan of boy groups I prefer the concepts and style of girl groups but there is something that brings me to BTS. I love the energy they give to their performances and honestly they have some of the best kpop dances under their resume (Fire, Not Today). I love all of them but Namjoon is the bias for me xD and he cemented that with "Persona", also I love their cyphers and previous music style era of "Skool Luv Affair" I hope they release a similar album in that style in the future
^-^

I love that they have a variety of different genres of music, from rap to pop. The songs/lyrics, albums, photo shoots, music videos, the Same Me webtoon, the Notes are all connected and tell a story about the Bangtan Universe (BU).

I love the honesty in their lyrics and themes! They're one of the first kpop bands that have relatable lyrics for me. Spring Day hit me in the perfect season of life and their following albums each had themes that encouraged me and made me feel less alone.

Describing my love of BTS would require a much bigger space than given here... and truly how can any words describe the heart pounding, exciting, squishy, effervescent feeling that these seven extremely talented dudes bring to myself and millions of others with their musicality, artistry and messages of self love. ARMY for life. 💜

I don’t think it’s a secret to anyone here how much I love BTS. lol. Sometimes I feel sorry for the non-BTS fans here on DB for having to put up with myself and others’ fangirling ways. ☺️😅😂

Thank you DB for doing this great giveaway!

PS. I live in the US.
PPS. Sorry for all the deletes above. Do not type while distracted by children. lol
