Drama viewership ratings for the week of Feb. 3-9, 2020

Going into the second week of February, there are no new shows to report and, for the most part, no significant change in ratings. Though we’ve reached a brief period of stasis, a lot of our favorite shows are still doing great.

For instance, Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 2 hasn’t shown much growth in its audience, but the 20 percent mark is not a bad place to be stuck in. Its competitor Black Dog finished its 16 episode run with 4.7 percent — not its highest rating but definitely not its worst. Diary of a Prosecutor will be the next to go out, so we’ll see how it compares.

The midweek lineup is, quite frankly, starting to look sad again. Forest is coming out on top but not by much; in fact, if it keeps losing viewers, it could push it down lower. At least in the weekend lineup there’s plenty to be happy about. Park Seo-joon’s Itaewon Class went from 5 percent last week to an incredible 8 percent this week.

I might actually tune in for that. Though Forest would probably manage to make even an orgy boring.

Itaewon Class continues to be my favorite ongoing and easily one of the most enjoyable dramas (to me) in the past couple of years. The atmosphere in Itaewon Class something that definitely working))) Glad to see, that Koreans have the same opinion as me.

IC fan here also. There will be a nice surprise when the rating for episode 4 is included. It has almost doubled in the ratings since episode one.

That’s great to hear ^__^ Because I personally think, that high ratings totally deserved. It’s always a success, when drama can create it’s own atmosphere and lure people inside it)))

STORVE LEAGUE continues to do well- as it should. But for the most part the lineup is fairly weak.

We continue to watch FOREST but are not sure where it is going.

Is the forest doing a good job there? Have been reading Beanies’ funny comments about this show and am wondering if the forest has had the character growth. Might be a bit difficult though because of weak supporting characters (the leads) lol. 😂

Forest remains underdeveloped as a character. Hope it gets some more screentime before the inevitable fire. I'd hate to think Forest got sacrificed for the narrative arc of the other two leads.

Yes, the inevitable fire...but the Forest should rise anew for its ashes, just like the Phoenix of myth...unless it gets paved under for a resort.

Reminds me of an article I saw a forest in Europe some place (Poland?) that had huge listening horns emplaced so that people could LISTEN to the forest - even its quietest, gentlest, sounds. I thought a recording from such a source would make a wonderful soundtrack for the Forest.

Wow Itaewon Class ratings are crazy and only 4 episodes have been aired! Very happy for the cast and the first 4 episodes have been very solid. Also this is Park Seo Joon’s third hit drama in a row, pretty impressive :)

My baby Money Game! I really hope ratings go up for you. Economy isn't my cup of tea, but something about it intrigues me to watch it every week. Might it be the precious Go Soo, the return of Shim Eun Kyung, or the beautiful directing? My vote goes for all of the above.

Wow, Crash Landing on You got 17.705%! Can its finale beat Reply 1988's 18.803% next week? (I can't see any show beating nation's drama SKY Castle's 23.779%.)

I think only a sleeper hit like SKY CASTLE itself will come close to beating it.
I love surprises.

What makes SKY Castle even more amazing is its ratings trajectory. Episode 1 started out with only 1.727%.

I have watched up to episode 12 of Sky Castle. That show is addicting! No wonder it got amazing ratings.

I watched until ep 14. It was addictive until they decided to go make four more episodes. Not for me.

I watched Tell me what you saw and the game: towards zero. I'm impressed with the former and am wondering why nobody's recapping this. I think it's better than The Game (both are crime/thriller genre). It'd be great to see the comments for the drama TMWYS

I also wondered why no one is recapping a Jang Hyuk drama considering it's pretty good.

DB has always been into rom.com. Once in a while a heavy show with little to no romance will get recapped.

I love Jang Hyuk to pieces but I do understand why it's not being recapped.

I don't think "Tell Me What You Saw" is a drama that I would want to marathon. It's rather gruesome and it seems half the people have hair dripping with blood, dirt, and grease throughout. I'd rather spread that out over a few weeks than a few days. :-)

Was really hoping Stove League would hit 20%. I'm sure the finale rating will be high but maybe not that high.

Hahaha I didn't think it'd be possible for the ratings to dip any further but it dipped by half as much! Sad. Coming off a high like Sky Castle, I hope Kim Bo Ra is not too affected by the ratings here. I'm still liking the show a lot though. Can't wait to see what happens next week.
