Merry Christmas to all beanies who celebrate!
I witnessed a touching moment yesterday.
My sister baked cupcakes for our housekeeper's children for Christmas. While picking them up she brought a present for my sister as well. It was a frame of religious verses found in our religious book.
I think we were more touched than her.
Also, Happy Holidays🎉

Few more days to Nige Haji 2 hour long episode.
Like December 2019 post - same 2020 December post.
Every Year i used to wake up around 5am, take bath(cold cold water to numb you within a minute), wear new clothes and go outside -
No human in sight, no artificial lights on streets, no animal, no bird, no sound of insects and anyone.
Aerosol cloud all around - hardly 10 meters of visibility. I alone in the company of mother earth and other nature. Lots and lots of trees, moisture in the air so formation of aerosol clouds was so easy.
Complete white all around.
Let's say a very silly image of fictional heaven. And you can assume all the white as positive energy and you are the only one basking in this energy - a very sly way to boost your confidence, morale and a ice way to mentally encourage yourself.
Mother always thought - i actually visit a religious institution to celebrate the birth of a fictional human god. I told her in 2019 - I never visit any religious place, even if that place can secure my life. Rule is rule.
In 2019 - 25 December i intentionally didn't stood do the same - because it was turning out to be very similar to any religious ritual. And if someone knows you, then its very easy to eliminate you choosing the most easiest of the days.
25 December 2020 is different - feelings are different, emotions are on different level. Objectives are more clear and way more ambitious.
And i've decided to open a few new paths too - 2020 has beaten me hard but also has cleaned the views and made me look at broader picture.

Boxing Day - Cricket - Test Cricket
awesome for a viewer but i always feel bad for the cricketers. Everyone enjoying days with family and friends and here crickets have to play cricket for the pleasure of audience.
It happens cross few other sports too.
I'm all in for removing this new addition and letting players enjoy time with their families.

But the Boxing Day Test is an institution in Australia. The players live for it! And the public loves it. Not sure they'd want to give it up!

"those who celebrate"
I'm talking in general. Its applied a lot nowadays and i consider it thoroughly -ve. A festival is for all. There exist no mine vs. yours. I don't participate in any religious festival or religious activity but even i consider such event and occasion overall ve and good for society. People give me wishes on these days and smile and node and respect their wishes and accept them(This also makes me feel that i'm a facemask at that moment)
I have seen comments of several virtual identities lamenting the fact the someone belonging to some other faith didn't congratulate them or celebrate special occasion of their faith. I have seen this on social media and saw few opinion articles too. Does it even matter? Does it has any logic?
Your wishes depend upon what category/faith/feelings someone has or not? In my views 25 is as much for a non-believer as much as it is for a believer.
Those 3 words are what create resentment, division and polarisation.

Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate!! I just wanted to share the love for kdramas with my personal “kdrama awards” (https://youtu.be/qGwV8N5EmMA) — I definitely ended up watching less kdramas this year...and I’m shook that I don’t have any sageuks, but there are still many notable gems!

🎄Merry Christmas to those who celebrate🎅 and a happy weekend to those who do not (wish to) celebrate!❤️
Last year I got ditched both on Christmas Day and New Year’s eve. Out of spite I swore not to attend this year, but the pandemic has justified my pettiness.😤
After three weeks of nonstop formation or on status available by obligation I am relieved to be mentally by myself for ten days. Right now I am on my second day of eating, sleeping, ignoring my social devices as much as possible and catching up on everything except my formation it seems. I probably will start studying tomorrow, as soon as everyone else leaves me alone to go enjoy their weekends and then resume their jobs on Monday.
My friend and I plan to combine our weekly Saturday evening skype with a Mulan (hate?) watch tomorrow and finish the three remaining Shopping King Louie episodes by Sunday evening.
Last weekend I neglected sleep to write and send in my end of the year review, which was posted this week.😉 Four times in a row!🥳 With that out of the way, it is now time for me to start reading up on the Beanie 2020RoundUp fan wall and all the Dramabeans recaps posted in December…😅

After I became fed up with "stupidity creates drama" (because it is easier for the writer and everyone else involved in the production), I watch very few dramas. Except for dramas that are meant to be stupid for laughs, aka (certain types of ) comedies.

Hello beans *waves*
It's the last week of the year...6 more days to 2021. I hope everyone had a good week and a good weekend!
And....Kairos has ended 😭. I'm sad that it ended but I'm happy with the ending. The drama made me happy from start to end. My 2020 kdramaland was 90% focused on Kairos, from the moment Sungrok was cast. My wait for it was worthit. Such a solid drama from start to finish. *whispers* watch Kairos~~~
Today I watched Monte Cristo musical dress rehearsal live broadcast 🥳. The main cast for the live is Shin Sung Rok as Edmond Dantes/Monte Cristo. It was fun! It felt like watching a musical movie~ hehe

Hope everyone is having a happy holiday season! We’re lucky enough to still be able to get together with family here so it’s been a mostly excellent time. My sister and I clearly thinking along the same lines this year - I gave her the monkey soft toy from A Korean Odyssey and she gave me a mug printed with LSG’s face (which I have had to keep concealed so I don’t get endlessly mocked by my brothers 😅)

happy friday AND happy holidays beanies!!!
school closed for break wednesday, and my college apps have dwindled down to just 4 essays left (which might sound like a lot, but this one school requires 3 so it's fine!) at long last, my actual time to stop caring about school and start relaxing is in sight!! i remember on other OTs i was like, “i’ll finally be able to relax after october 31st/november 15th/december 1st!" but i never actually could bc there was always work. this time, i cannot wait to disappear from this world and just live in drama world!!
in terms of drama updates, i still need to finish coffee prince (been stuck on ep 8), i saw ep 9 of MA this week (help, my love for LSK is just intensifying), and thanks to @mindy , i’ve seen 3 episodes of ITR, which i really like (and um nana is like the PRETTIEST ever)
i’m 3 episodes behind on my r88 rewatch (will probably binge some today), but i feel really bad about being behind, i’m sorry show!!! i saw an episode wednesday, but to be honest, i’ve been putting it off bc i don’t want it to end, and i know that the later episodes show my favorite person getting their heart slowly broken. i also feel slightly guilty because while i love him, i’ve been supporting the other ship too bc they just work so well together T_T forgive me. but i think i have to follow my own advice and not focus on the lovelines, because the show is so much more than that!! and if i’m a true fan of r88, that’s what i should be looking for.
anyway, happy holidays once again! wishing everyone lots of love and joy, this year has been…. a lot of things that i don’t think i can say here LOL, but DB has brought light into my life ◡̈
love,
shachi

Merry Christmas Beanies who celebrate and those that don’t. We don’t celebrate Christmas here either, but all places are normally decorated for the festival and I just wish I could celebrate Christmas like those that do. ☺️
So I decided to spend the day as much as I wanted. I had lunch outside at one of my favorite places; visited a cafe I adore and spent time there to my heart’s content. I went back home and did things I love; and I sent texts to wish the ones I love and my students whom I still have contact a merry Christmas. Some of them wished me a merry Christmas back, and some said they loved me (because of the A they got from my course.)😂 So it’s the happy day for many, if not everyone (one student got D+ so he was worried.)
Sending love and hugs to all here. DB is such a joyful and happy place for me. Merry Christmas to you dear @db-staff. Thank you so much and you’ve done so well this year. 🥰😘😘😘
Merry Christmas Kim Seon-ho. Mommy so loves you. 😘😘😘

Merry Christmas beanies! This week, I spent my time watching, or rather cherishing, Sweet Home. I didn't expect this show to be so good!! It definitely isn't for everybody - the gore and violence levels are very, very high, but that's exactly the kind of stuff I enjoy and sometimes miss in K-dramas. The story explored many excellent themes, including the gift of motherhood, what it means to survive, and the importance of genuine relationships, and managed to do it tastefully, even among so much death and despair. The main message - the monster within humans is a curse, or God's punishment, that results from evil desire - was so satisfying to see executed in such powerful form. The entire cast delivered their best performances yet (in my opinion) and the gigantic Netflix budget definitely didn't hurt either. I want to give a special mention to the Christian, sword-wielding man. His character offered the best and most honest exploration of religion I've seen in K-dramas so far, and I'm very grateful for that. The CGI monsters are masterful, but I think the real gem that Sweet Home holds is its raw and gritty emotion. Korea proves again that even its most thrilling series can reach the audience's hearts.

This week's bad news on K-drama: Kim Byung-choon might be remove or edit out scenes featuring him from True Beauty and remake of Phoenix where he was a supporting role after he tested positive for Covid-19. He experienced show business for 40 years after and it had been just two weeks after Bae Sung-woo removed from Fly Dragon/Delayed Justice due to DUI and edited out for episodes 13 to 16, which slated to air next two weeks.
The good news in K-drama this week: Studio Dragon, the home to Sweet Home jumped gains on stock after Sweet Home's global success. It gained 3.4% to $80. Ahhh, what a great year for Studio Dragon.

2020 is going to pass the torch to 2021 in a week! oh dear, so many things happened this year, and at the same time I felt like 'nothing' happened this year, since March everything was like all bleak.. :((
We human are survivor though, and even in the tiniest scale of hope, we strive, and hopefully we are the victor of this 'battle' <3
In Oct I found a great place to live by my own, I moved in in the last week of that month, it's been 2mos now and I really like it there. The location is a gem, the price is reasonable, and it looks pretty enough from the outside so that when I came home from work in the afternoon or evening, the feeling of looking to it just boost my spirit during this challenging time <3
I guess the place was like a granny flat, the main house was semi-detached and I don't mind (a bit of) noise of main housers, it adds the 'live' to it which a singlehood like me could appreciate haha..
Kdrama front, my new place come with 30+ inch tv so I searched a perfect drama to watch on it for mainly georgeous oppa or ajusshi, while cooking for my dinner. I found 'I Have a Lover' (SBS, 2015), 50ep drama starred Ji Jin Hee and Kim Hyun Joo, gossshhh i love them together in it! the story was definitely bonkers, hahaa,,but their acting and chemistry are soo great and making me smile, annoyed, giggle, irritated, heart-flutter :D and I feel like thanking them for accompanying me in my first 2months in the new place,,kekeke what kdrama could do to you :D
I'm anticipating JJH and KHJ together again in the new kdrama The Undercover (JTBC, 2021), hope it delivers!
Ok, 2021 (kdrama) (and me) (and all beanies) fighting!

The year's brutal film revenues are coming into clearer focus. The U.S. lost more than 92 percent of its 2019 domestic box office. Studio investors for delayed films have demanded payment which has left producers selling low to streaming and cable companies.
In South Korea, it will be down more than 80 percent from 2019. It equates to more than $921 million (US) losses.
