Kim Young-kwang and Choi Kang-hee in latest stills for Hello? It’s Me!

Fantasy rom-com drama Hello? It’s Me!, featuring Kim Young-kwang (The Secret Life of My Secretary) and Choi Kang-hee (Good Casting), has released new stills. This drama is about a 37-year-old woman whose life has lost its shine. When she’s visited by her 17-year-old past self, played by Lee Re (Start-up), she’s reminded of her previous passion for life.

Choi Kang-hee plays a woman who is single by default (not by choice) and her professional life isn’t doing all that well either, as she’s a contract worker with low job security. Every day feels the same as the last, and she’s resigned to just living out her days in a state of perpetual complacency. However, she wasn’t always this way–something happened when she was 17-years-old that changed her to the core. It made her abandon her dreams to become a famous entertainer who could change the world, and left her without laughter or tears.

On the other hand, Kim Young-kwang plays a third-generation chaebol heir, who is the modern-day equivalent of Peter Pan. He’s immature with no plans to grow up anytime soon. He’s lived his entire life doing whatever he wants. As a result, he’s a master hobbyist, with multiple licenses and certifications for sports, machinery, and languages. When his father lays down the law and makes him work, he meets Choi Kang-hee’s character and begins to learn how the other side lives.

KBS Wednesday-Thursday drama Hello? It’s Me!, written by Yoo Song-yi and directed by Lee Hyun-seok, will begin airing on February 17.

so i love her and probably will watch most of what she's in (if i can pay attention) and i wonder if this is better than it sounds since i barely tolerate him, but for some reason think he's ok...

it's 2021 so the need for the idea of candy has been put out to pasture. what's frustrating is that these dramas seem to put these problems out there like it's some fundamentally personal issue instead of like hey why isn't a 37 year old woman—she is literally in her prime no matter what anyone says about societal pressure this is like your PEAK AGE—comfortable in her life, career, family? what changed? could it have been massive sociopolitical economic environmental unrest? her job insecurity and not being able to connect with someone like GEE COULD IT BE OTHER FACTORS that arent so internal and is the drama up for the challenge? and when the fuck is SK going to move on from this chaebol shit cos it' salways the fucking consolation prize but the money means nothing lmao

This drama sounds like a 1000 others.Rich clueless guy discovers happiness by meeting poverty stricken plucky candy. Yawn.

Looking forward to this because of the cast, hope it'll be true romcom that keeps a distance from melo. Just watched them guesting in Knowing Bros, so cute that both Choi Kang-hee and Kim Young-kwang are shy introverts. They're all still a hoot tho!

I like the self re-discovery angle. It'll be interesting to find out how she ended up this way, though it sounds like it'll be really dramatic/traumatic.

I wish they didn't make the hero an immature rich guy. Hoping the dad doesn't just give him a job at a low position within the family business since it's already too much of a luxury to have a stable job that you didn't have to go through grueling interviews for.

An older drama, Assorted Gems, did the Candy meets Chaebol Heir well. The chaebol father sent the son out with only enough money to rent a room, and told him to make his own way for a year. The Candy had a regular job but quit. The guy ends up renting a room from Candy’s parents... that part of the story was a nice change, I thought.

The story is not very original. But I don't really care if the execution is good and the casting can make me forget about it.

I sighed when I read the description of the ML.. Well, KYK is so charming. He was great in TSLOMS and I legitimately missed him on screen so I am gonna give this one a try anyway.

I usually avoid dramas that centers on real-life issues, but I am going to watch this because this year I'm in the same age as the main female character, so I can somewhat relate, I guess...
