Drama viewership ratings for the week of May 3-9, 2021

Another week, another pair of new shows. Filling in the empty Monday-Tuesday slot, we had retro romance Youth of May come in with a quiet start of 4.9 percent. Then, replacing Vincenzo, we had women-oriented drama Mine come in at 6.6 percent. I’ll be keeping an eye on Mine’s progress, since the promos gave me major Penthouse vibes.
Meanwhile, Mouse returned after its week off and managed to stay strong. In the same slot, Law School garnered its highest rating of 5.4 percent, and Oh! Master continued cruising around 1 percent. It’s been a tough run for Oh! Master, so I’m guessing it’ll be limping towards its finish line with similar results.

I’m hugely enjoying So I Married the Antifan with Soo Young, which isn’t on this list for some reason. It’s so much fun after so many heavy, violent shows. And the parents are a hoot! We need more of them.

OCN’s DARK HOLE does not seem to be resonating with SK viewers.
Once again I believe the ratings above are not accurate.
It seems that DH is being simulcast on OCN and tvN.

(I will be staying with DH out of loyalty to LJH (1984) but it is not a good sign when I keep hitting the pause button to see how much time is left in an episode.)

I heard that Bossam Steal the Fate is doing pretty good but it's not on this list nor the list last week.

Yes, Episode 3 had a 4.6% rating. Congrats to MBN!

And now Episode 4 scored a new personal record with 5.5%! I'm glad that the drama steadily gains more interest as its deserve. It's a fun ride so far. I hope there will be recap or at least weekly hang out post.

I don't understand why MBN or Channel A dramas are not on the currently airing drama list anymore. They used to be and I liked it because I could have the complete list in front of my eyes. Sometimes these dramas have bigger ratings than of dramas included on the list. "Bossam" and "Imitation" are the dramas missing at the moment. And even "So I married an antifan" , there are 2 episodes weekly, too.

And deservedly so! I'm really enjoying Bossam so far, I haven't watched a sageuk in a while but this one is super interesting so far

Sell your haunted house after Jang Nara lost her touch in the drama Oh My Baby she came back strong in doing this drama. I love it and her tandem with YJH is a good choice they are both doing a good job in their roles.
Lee Seung Gi's Mouse is so heartbreaking and intense I can say he is at his best in acting and deserve to be notice and recognise. Hope his hard works pay off after the drama.I hope he can win big award after cause he deserve to have one.
Lee Je Hoon's Taxi driver is one of the best drama airing right now his acting was really great can't wait to see his Netflix Original drama Move to heaven I know it will be different from the taxi driver but the trailer is interesting and will touch the viewers heart.

The 3 dramas mentioned in your comments are so unique on their own. They all deserve a high rating on their own. This shows the diversity and high quality of the Korean dramas and story writing - something unique and couldn't find in other regions.

I thought perhaps Imitation would be mentioned in this post (for all the wrong reasons obviously). Frankly speaking even as someone who knows nothing about broadcasting, it was evident from day one that the show was going to flop: no-name actors + focus on the idol industry. I don't even know why KBS picked it up.
