Lee Yoo-young to join Kang Haneul in JTBC’s Insider

Action-suspense drama Insider has recently cast Lee Yoo-young (The Lies Within) as the female lead. Already confirmed to star is Kang Haneul (River Where the Moon Rises), playing a judicial apprentice whose life falls apart when he goes on an undercover investigation. In order to get his life back, a desperate, ruthless battle of minds unfolds.
Before the undercover operation, Kang Haneul’s character was the first ranked legal apprentice (an internship stage between being a law student and a lawyer). In order to pursue a lead on a corrupt prosecutor, he enters a gambling ring undercover and his life does a complete 180.
Although his intentions toward justice were pure, all that was waiting for him at the end of his efforts were the power plays of greedy individuals who manipulated him. Abandoned by the world, he’s sent to a prison where he begins to plan out his revenge. With his ability to think several moves ahead of his opponents, his iron-firm determination, and his poker-face, Kang engages in a high-stakes gamble for his life.
Lee Yoo-young plays a shady businesswoman named Oh Soo-yeon. Underneath her gentle smile lies a sharp intellect that helps her manipulate others with her wealth and network. With her acumen, she recognizes the talent in ruined inmate Kang Haneul, and immediately decides to groom him to become her weapon.
JTBC drama Insider, directed by Min Yeon-hong (Missing: The Other Side) and written by Moon Man-se (Priest), will air in the first half of 2022.

This will definitely not be Yong-sik 2 (CAMELLIA) maybe closer to Baek-gi 2 (MISAENG) who from what I remember was wrapped kind of tight.

I love the actors! The Lies Within was so frustrating, it wasted Lee Yoo-Young and Lee Min-Ki's talent. So I'm excited to watch her in a better drama and as a shady business woman! Kang Ha-Neul is back in a drama and as a lead \o/ (I dropped Camelia...)

Another very smart hero with an "ability to think several moves ahead of his opponents, an iron-firm determination, and a poker-face", who will basically save the world while taking revenge of those who wronged him. . . 😖😖 oh no, please. Whatever happened to normal men?
I am really looking forward dramas with more daily life issues.

ooh, an unexpected pair!? I love both of their separate works - Haneul in basically anything he's in, and Yoo-young in The Lies Within in particular - the synopsis has already got me hyped for this show!
