Premiere Watch: Blind

Time slot: Friday-Saturday
Broadcaster: tvN
Genre: Crime, thriller, mystery
Episode count: 16

Reasons to watch: If I said that Blind was originally going to broadcast on OCN but then got moved to tvN, would that tell you everything you needed to know about the drama? That little nugget aside, the real need-to-know item here is that Taecyeon and Ha Suk-jin play brothers — a detective and a judge — and I love everything about that. However, it’s not all brotherly love, because Ha Suk-jin starts to suspect his little brother of the crimes in question, and basically the story looks quite dark, and full of killers, suspicions, and an excellently tough Jung Eun-ji. And the PD is responsible for Voice 4, Cross, and Tunnel, so this is definitely in his wheelhouse. Is it in yours?

TL;DR: Taecyeon and Ha Suk-jin as brothers, who doesn’t love Jung Eun-ji, creepy crime thriller, posters have been ultra-dramatic and creepy

I read "Taecyeon and Ha Suk-jin as brothers who doesn’t love Jung Eun-ji," and I was, like, "Yes, no love triangle between siblings" until I saw the comma and realized thrillers don't have romance.

Reasons not to watch: there's a Voice 4 connection.

I am ready for this one. can't wait to see how Taecyeon handles a darker theme. He has turned out to be a very good actor who is improving with each drama. love his smile but don't think we get to see it much this time. He's grown on me as i didn't like him when he first started acting. Go Taecyeon! and i love the other leads too so hopefully it is gripping without tons of blood and guts.

Not on Viki or Netflix. So many recent Kdramas I want to see not available in Canada or US. Still mourning re Good Detective 2.

some beanies have suggested HiTV app for those unavailable drama, you might want to try watching it through the app. I don't use it, but beanies who already tried it seem okay with it. good luck!

SO I decided to watch the raw version without the subtitles on the Hitv app and then come back when the subtitles are out. I want to immerse myself in this one and make sure I don't miss any small details. I've been doing that lately when it comes to Thriller shows. The first couple minutes of the show was gut wrenching, might not be suitable for all viewers especially those who can't handle violence. There was a lot of it in the premiere, which I don't mind. There are some sensitive parts though that might cause controversy..

coming to this post exactly to try to look for a quick review on the 1st ep, I'm a bit wary about how violent it would be, so thanks a lot for the heads up.
Hope the show, while violent, has a story that is thrilling and tightly written to make me watch all the way.
the 1st ep will be premiered tonight in my part of the world, and since i'll be watching it on tv so i might need some blanket to cover my eyes for the gory part, in case my fingers wouldn't be sufficient to do the covering ha.
