I feel like "false advertisement" accurately describes this drama. Based on the key art and the sleepy seaside town setting, one would think this is an easy, breezy drama full of wholesomeness and one would wrong.

To be fair, the drama does have those moments but they get overshadowed by the needless violence and pettiness of characters. Characters are made to be clearly antagonistic but then they're randomly supposed to be viewed as "good guys" because they did something they should've done in the first place or came to a conclusion they should've come to many episodes ago.

The moments of the easy, breezy drama are when our lead character is with the male lead and the teen she ends up having a sisterly dynamic with. They are the ones that would make you want to just leave behind the stresses of a busy city life and enjoy a slower pace. Appreciate having people who are just genuinely caring and mature. There's also a cute dog and who doesn't like a cute dog? Haha

I'm not going to knock it because I'm sure there are people who liked this drama and alot of people worked hard on it but if you're looking for whatever the drama's poster made you think/feel, there are better options out there.

thanks for your reply. I've been wavering on the seesaw of do I watch this or do I skip it? Still not sure I will but now I have a better idea of what to base my decision on.

I loved the dog (겨울) too. I just want to cuddle and squeeze it. So much character and cuteness. And, must have had a great trainer and handler to boot.

It's like my brain only remembers this drama as a compilation of the scenes between Yeo-reum and Dae-bum (which, sadly isn't very much enough), as well as Yeo-reum and Bom. And for that alone, I don't actually regret watching this. Im Shi-wan is so wholesome as Dae-bum.

The unpleasant townspeople, the out-of-place violence, and murder plot - I'm not mad, but just feeling like my brain was left confused, baffled and numb. And I've just cut all that out of my memories, hahaha!

There are probably lots of people who enjoyed the drama. I didn't.
I never liked FL in the first place, but I thought the two first episodes were promising. Yet the promise faded away.

Characters without development, nonsense subplots and characters used just as a plot device. And above all, people shouting and bullying others.

There were some nice moments, though, and that is why I kept watching and because I always find it difficult if not impossible to drop a Siwan drama. But I was fooled.

My advice: watch at your own risk, and if you like it, that is what you will have earned. But keep this in mind: nothing happens, no one grows and all characters are very hateable.

P.S.: Any comparison with When the weather is fine will receive my rage.

Sad, because Im Si Wan's character is loveable in this, but unfortunately the FL drove me away after her third drunk scene. She doesn't yet have the acting skills to pull this off. It felt like she was 'pretending' to be her character, instead of losing herself in it. There was too much deliberateness in her voice as well as her body language to make her believable...or empathetic. I didn't hate her, just couldn't 'feel' for her. As others have noted elsewhere, this drama is about unlikeable characters with an uninteresting mystery. I hate sounding so negative, but I was disappointed in this because the photography, the background of the town, and that dog were so realistic, yet the undertone of the drama felt prickly as well as overscripted. I make it a point to finish dramas that are lukewarm, but our FL's last 'drunk-stumble' around town with her black bag of cash was enough. I know many love the easy slow pace of this drama, but I just couldn't stay around to watch her keep falling over. I'm sure Im Si Wan will take good care of her.
