  • With our trio moving to the big city of Hanyang, it’s time for tvN’s Poong the Joseon Psychiatrist to reckon with his past. The second season’s newest teaser introduces an old rival – as well as a first love that Kim Min-jae (Dal-li and Gamjatang) failed to mention to a wary Kim Hyang-gi (A Moment at Eighteen). Along with their trusted mentor Kim Sang-kyung (Racket Boys), the comedy sageuk will be returning to our screens on January 11. [Sports Donga (1), (2)]

  • A new teaser has dropped for TVING’s Island as well, revealing a little more back story for our supernatural hero Kim Nam-gil (Through the Darkness). Also starring Lee Da-hee (Love is for Suckers), Cha Eun-woo (True Beauty), and Sung Joon (Perfect Wife), the fantasy-action will be launching this month on December 30. [Sports Chosun]

  • Over on JTBC, Lee Bo-young (Mine) demands our attention in the latest poster for Agency, as she readies herself for battle against Jo Sung-ha (Adamas) and Sohn Na-eun (Ghost Doctor). The last (wo)man standing will sit on the corporate throne and we can salute our allegiance when the office war breaks out on January 7. [News1]
  • In the meantime, JTBC is pulling our hearts into four different directions with their new character posters for The Interest of Love, entangling us in the love square between Yoo Yeon-seok (Narco-Saints), Moon Ga-young (Link: Eat, Love, Kill), Geum Sae-rok (Youth of May), and Jung Ga-ram (Love Alarm 2). The romance releases next week on December 21. [News1]

The mystery-melodrama premieres this coming Monday on December 19. [Newsis]
  • Lightening the mood, KBS’s Brain Cooperation came out with a new teaser as well, featuring our motley quartet: Jung Yong-hwa (Sell Your Haunted House), Cha Tae-hyun (Police University), Kwak Sun-young (Behind Every Star), and Yeh Ji-won (So Do Sol Sol La La Sol). The action-comedy will be starting their investigations on January 2. [News1]
  • The long-awaited stills of Park Hoon (Big Mouth) have arrived, rounding out the main foursome in SBS’s Payback, together with Lee Seon-kyun (Dr. Brain), Moon Chae-won (Flower of Evil), and Kang Yoo-seok (I Haven’t Done My Best Yet). Premiering next month on January 6, the revenge drama will have Lee Won-tae (The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil) directing with scripts by Kim Won-seok (Man to Man). [Newsen]

Let’s hope first love/past love is dealt with sensibly as he met his new love when she was an unfortunate widow so having a past isn’t the issue. It’s whether the first love is clinging on or he didn't resolve things with her due to his abrupt departure. He was about to propose to his current love and during the time he was separated from her while in the city if anything was going to happen it would have done then. I am sure his lack of experience/interest in women was mentioned by his servant/friend so we shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

You forgot abou Seo Ji Hoon playing SL in Useless Lies. Poor guy always getting SL role. I was alreay not satisfied with ML selection but after reading this news I wish he was the ML alongside Sohyun Instead. He will be circling around Hwang Min Hyun in terms of acting.

But at least both the male leads are close in age to her. That’s an achievement.

I am SO. READY. For Trolley. Has it been rated yet?

Island... I really want this to be good, but the heavy use of special effects and that one little snippet of a real scene we got don't actually bode well for this show... *crosses fingers*

Payback looks fun, The Interest of Love looks... interesting, and the Agency looks like it could go either way. Thanks, DB!
