At a time when every other drama seemed to be about lawyers including one in the same niche within the law drama niche, it was going to take something special to make Divorce attorney Shin stand out. That something, was the quality of acting demonstrated by the generation of actors who have graduated into the ajumma and ajusshi bracket. A rare chance for older actors to showcase their skills as leads and part of a found family rather than being supports to younger cute actors who serve as fan service for the audience even when standing in beautiful clothes.

The main story was the means, the end was the exploration of what it takes to deal with loss and regrets, and amending for past mistakes when the consequences are very real. Children suffered due to the choices of their parents and others who were involved in their lives. We saw it with main leads and in most of the divorce cases children. It was sad at times, but there were also lots of laughs and bonding moments. I would recommend this, to those who prefer to watch the complications of relationships displayed in a more realistic manner.

Well said my fellow beanie! I really enjoyed it and thought they did well with the time given (12 episodes) It could easily been a 16er.

Thank you @reply1988. Honestly, you captured the heart of the drama.

If I was to retitle this drama, I'll name it: "What do you do after you fail?"
I say so because almost every character in this drama is confronted with this question and it's beautiful watching them answer it.

My only grouse with this drama is that the story would have been neater if it was 10 episodes
