Every time IU has a success or milestone, haters come out in droves to attack her. This week it has become extreme. A large group plastered Seoul with flyers claiming that IU was a North Korean spy plotting to overthrow the government. The reason was that she is a spokesperson for a large international Korean bank. Additionally, an unnamed third party filed a plagiarism complaint with the police alleging she copied 6 songs. However, the complaint is not from the artist, composer or record label for any of the songs. Under the law, a person who sues another for damage needs to be the real party in interest. A composer for one of the songs took to the media to denounce the action against IU. All of this is in addition to an increase in social media harassment, false rumors and invasion of privacy claims. Her agency stated it is compiling evidence for counter-suits.

Unless the false accusers get some real jail time instead of slap on the wrist, this anti-social behavior will continue.

They know deep down they’ll never reach her level, that’s why they hate her. Jealousy.

It is terrifying, after so many bullied celebrities committing suicide recently. This really really needs to have severe consequences or it will never stop.

When I saw the first thing, it was accusations of plagarism by some random anonymous "third party", I thought "wow, what even? How can a random third party come out of nowhere and do this?" But apparently that was just an opening act. People really pulled random accusations out of nowhere. Petty and malicious netizens & antifans are scary.

I miss when "Premiere Watch" covered more than one drama. But now every new show gets its own post -- even ones airing in the same time slot -- and it's overwhelming. It was easier to plan my schedule for the week and generated more discussion. I think that the highest number of premieres was nine in one week.

Me too. I guess they expect us to visit the site more this way, but instead I miss some "premiere watch" articles because I cannot visit the site on a daily or more basis.

I’m not keeping up with airing dramas so I honestly thought it was just one drama premiering at a time 🤦🏻‍♀️

Weather - ahh the beautiful summer - summer is summer - showing excitement - this n that temp - oh record temp - it is and it will be -

Mother Earth still being too kind - the real mother -

I have never used air conditioner - won't use - had no fan at all for 21-22 so most probably not want in 23 either - this will make things more interesting and entertaining.

Dry heat u can even handle 45 - it's boring - u need high humidity with that - atleast 75% - that's when you start to feel troubled.

This city just too lucky - this place is for only one huge event - that's the only option - either you make a home run or not.

AI this n that - bah bah - same overhyped nonsense - it's not even new - more like new iphone - silly marketing - that did cost google billions - n made billions for microsoft -

All these models need huge datasets n even then information provided is normally inaccurate - u hv to be a big time idiot any of the outcome at face value - those who did - didn't get the job done - money saved - reducing - they actually mostly increased their costs overall.

It's not that AI is just scam -the current model isn't of 2023 - you need to walk new path from now onwards to have a credible system - the current is more intelligent bot system.

The present AI isn't for - Newbies, or those who have very limited knowledge of matter, even if you are intermediate level you will waste time n energy - It's good for those who hv good knowledge of subject matter n know what they want - saves a lot of time.

Chat GPT paid is far better than normal one - still it isn't for casual public

Students - exams - assignments - blah blah - not benefits them - also easy to capture - because patterns are easy to guess n see.

People always praise their military - n no military is a hero - ever1 knows that n yet they stand with their military - n then cry when military comes after them - what u seek for others will come back at you.

Imran - The cricketer turned politicion to pm to ex-pm is quite conservative now but to think he was able to turn against army is one the biggest move n win in such a world. I

You enter the game - play - leave - n move onto new game
common man aka public aka weak aka losers r always hv most to lose.

Happy Friday everyone!
So this week I was watching BLACK, and to be honest I didn't like the last episode. It felt rushed and the ending was a bit disappointing. At least for me.

To those who watch Cdramas, can anyone recommend me any Cdrama as good as HANDSOME SIBLINGS?

Last week, I think it was last week, and we were talking about something and someone used the phrase "deeply unhappy". That actually stuck with me because I'm actually a deeply unhappy person. I use kdramas as something to hopefully get lost in and not think about anything else. I don't need redemption arcs (necessarily) or complex villains (I can't even think of a villain I like). I just want something that I can enjoy in one way or another. Like makes me laugh or smile or vicarious wish fulfillment. But lately that isn't as easy.

I didn't mind Taxi Driver 2 but that was something really appealing to my darker interest about Taxi Driver. I know the team was in a better headspace in S2 but sigh, yeah, I preferred the darkness of S1. Still would S3 though (even though I'm dreading the love line between Do Ki & Go Eun).

I don't remember which recent dramas made me laugh or smile; not only that but consistently enough that I would rewatch the entire series.

Bora Deborah sometimes makes me laugh :)

Some older dramas that made me laugh (at least a few times, because they aren't pure comedies), maybe you already watched them: The best hit, Yumi's cells, Age of Youth, Secret Garden, 30 but 17, Prison Playbook, Psychopath Diary, Memories of Alhambra, Business Proposal, Crash Landing on you, Hospital Playlist, Live up to your name, Misaeng, W: Two Worlds, To Jenny, The Package, Go Back Couple, Into the ring, Hometown Cha, Clean with passion...

I hope you can find a drama which fits the bill. Fighting!

Yes, that's the key - or pretend it's a live-action Tom and Jerry cartoon. All the 'comic' workplace violence goes away by ep. 2. And it really is laugh-out-loud funny.

I only watched the first episode. I can't remember if I finished it. Too much blood, I thought. I wasn't laughing at all, so I thought that kind of humor wasn't for me.
But then I read that it changed after that episode so I still want to try again someday.

Birthcare Center gave me lots of laugh. You might want to try it. With only 8 episodes, it’s perfect to binge-watch this Mothers’ Day weekend.

I had some good laughs while watching Jealousy incarnate. And I find Chicago typewriter deeply immersive.
I also watch dramas to escape by getting lost in other worlds. The most recent that was immersive was Alchemy of souls (part 2).

I think it’s normal to be deeply unhappy. It is just that people need to deal with it well. I said that phrase when we talked about vicious netizens.

And from the students’ papers I graded, it seemed like not doing something one loved or really really wanted to do deep down was one of the three main causes of lack of motivation. Please don’t ask me why I am posting this here; I don’t know either.

Some of the things I hate are social gatherings, traveling and being awake during the day. I had to do all of that last weekend and I got sick LOL

I don't regret it tho. It made me happy to see my cousins after so many years. And I got to eat proper bread again! Yeah, I think my town has the best bread in the country. It was hot as hell, but it felt nice being home. It gave me peace.
So yeah, the trip back home almost killed me (7h on a bus? wtf is that? My limit is less than 30min) but it was worth it.

I hope you had a nice week, beanies de mi corazón.
Happy weekend!💚

I have been doing fairly good at my Korean class but my last homework was a disaster so im now studying nonstop exam on the 22nd.
not so sure about te speech competition any more. and my chances of Jeju-Do. BC you dont just give a spech, you´re supposed to interview someone and be interviewed.

anyway, there was a total Karen at the library yesterday, huh her tone, her attitude, so egocentric so to cool down I went and watched korean street food videos again. and tonight im trying some ideas out at a neighborhood party, I am doing some estonian-korean fusion by making wild garlic & buckwheat gimbap and savory pancake with willowherb and nettle. There is also a cafe night later in june, where I am going to do nettle burgers or toast with tofu instead of ham.

I wonder, if they did a show where regular locals in villages do a yard cafe, that would be so cool! Or a competition of celebrities in establishing a food truck / cart.

im so about food bc the prices triple here almost every month now. a cabbage costs 8 euros , t was 60 cents same time last year

I know the cost of food is ridiculous these days but the shortages in fruit and vegetables hits hard when we are all trying to be healthy. 60 cents to 8 euros is off the charts. I hope things improve or we will all need to start growing our own in window boxes and our gardens.

Good luck with your exams and the meal ideas sound great.

Kudos to you on progressing with Korean studies. I'm only using duolingo & lingodeer but I'm not retaining much of anything. Plus my follow throrough is crap so I'm probably not as much of a diligent student as I would need to be to actually understand conversations.

Question time. Is there a way to know that if you sign up for Disney+ that you will actually be able to access their shows? Depends on where you live? What about USA? I am close to signing up grumbling all the way but the new show Race as well as my list of I want to watch but can't thanks to not having Disney has me close to signing up, but don't want to end up with a dead end subscription if I DO have it. Any help is much appreciated!

The Show That Broke My Heart ended, but cdramas still hold most of my attention, so I'm gonna share some reports from that field with yall:

- STRANGE TALES OF TANG DYNASTY Season2 started filming - with original cast back! *dances* Given the genre we probably won't see it till later next year tho. Whatever, it's worth it!
- costume drama lovers like me can rejoice, because it seems like we're gonna DROWN in these in the remaining months of 2023)))
- LOVE YOU SEVEN TIMES released new very pretty AND funny trailer (with no eng subs somehow, shame on you, iQIYI!) and once again rumored to come out in July. Pls, pls, pls!
- LBFAD's FL and SML shippers (were there any? I feel like them having no chemistry in that drama was intentional) got their wish - the two will be OTP in upcoming dark wuxia romance MY JOURNEY TO YOU. Trailer looks awesome - dark, sexy, stylish and very dangerous. Premise of female assassin being planted at young lord's home to spy on, seduce and possibly murder the poor lad is super exciting, but at the same time highly worrying - I've seen similar story before and it did NOT end well lmao))) Rumored to come out this winter.
- the same ML stars in palace intrigue reincarnation do-over drama with TTEOTM's FL (yeah, small world, and no, I don't give a damn about them supposedly dating as long as they can deliver on screen) about tyrannical empress who meets bad end and returns to the past (yup, another common trend here) to fix her messy destiny, titled STORY OF KUNNING PALACE. Almost surely will air on 18th this month. I'm hesitant to watch it ongoing so soon, but who knows?
- TTEOTM's production company is rumored to collab with its ML LYX again after he's done with his currently filming show for high budget dark wuxia where he plays white-haired anti-hero/baddie. Okay, now that got me drooling on the floor starry-eyed))) Just pls, I beg you, stick to the permitted amount of episodes, hire better editors/writers/lawyers to sue all the antis and it's gonna be EPIC!
