I love Celine Dion. This is probably the only song of hers that made me cringe due to the associated memory with the movie Titanic. There are a lot of things to love about that movie that I think it is unfortunate that they chose to focus on the romance for almost the entire 3 hours and 30 minutes run.
When I first saw it, I thought, oh well, my aunts loved it and we got to spend the weekend together. The second time I saw it, I thought, at least I got a good long hours nap and the seat was super comfortable.
THEN, my best friend asked me to go for a third! I used up my entire energy to persuade her that there are other movies out there and that I’d already seen it TWICE! She managed to drag me. So there I was, watching it for the third time. I couldn’t nap this time. To this day, I’ve never let her forget how Titanic is the proof of my love for her. Whenever I hear this song though, I still cringe.
This is my highway song. When Im driving on the highway, middle of the night, no other cars in sight, I roll my windows, turn this song (or just about any other Celine song) UP and BELT IT OUT.
I haven’t even tried to listen to this. I don’t like this song, it doesn’t matter how beautiful it is.
I only watched the movie once. I liked it, but I knew it wouldn’t bare another view, so you’re my hero for watching it three times.
The only thing I remember about the movie is my heart aching with all the china falling from the cupboards and breaking into pieces. I love china. And that was fine bone china.
The rest of the movie… well… yes… never seen it again, and if I ever come across it on tv, I just skip it.
I’m in the “never watched this movie” category. I glimpsed at bits and pieces of it when it aired on TV many moons after it was released, but just couldn’t bring myself to suffer through the entire film. The song is not the greatest either.

I like it 🙈. It’s one of my go-to karaoke songs(depending on my mood).

I remember when this song came out. It was played so often that many people got tired of listening to it lol
