March music, day 28… Today is my sister’s birthday. We couldn’t celebrate it together, but I sent her this gorgeous rendition of Ave Maria by Korean American, David Kim, concertmaster of the Philadelphia Symphony. Symphonies can’t perform right now in much of the world, but their musicians are still making beautiful music in solidarity.
@ally-le,
Thanks for posting that luminous performance by Philly concertmaster David Kim accompanied by daughter Maggie. What sweet, uplifting music, mindfully performed.
While visiting his website, I watched several interesting clips. The first two deal with his training and education as a musician, and the role his pianist mother played in getting him started as a violinist. What an inspiring story, told with great warmth, humility, and gratitude. Highly recommended.
