Hello beanies ☺️

It’s been a while, just wanted to check on you guys. How have you all been? How’s quarantine and social distancing with you? Hope it’s not too frustrating and you guys are finding ways to make it fun.. pfft!

I miss you but I don’t think I’m ready to be back on DB just yet.. but I promise I keep you all in my prayers and I’m always sending you positive vibes.. just be healthy and happy, okay!

Also, since it’s still 1st of May which means it’s my Oppa’s birthday, I’d want to wish him a happy birthday and DB is the only place that will always understand my love for him so I’m grateful for that.

A Very Happy birthday Oppa, I might have broken the Oppa-law with Forest but I’ll always love you the same, that I promise!

    Dear @azzo1, I know you are not around much these days and for good reasons. I hope this message finds you nonetheless, because I want to express my deepest thanks for sharing your story last winter. Because it was so beautiful and simple and relatable, it led me to aspire for something similar for myself, which I had not dared to imagine for a very long time (understand: ever). I was embarrassed to aspire for love and pessimistic about my chances of success, but I gave it a try and registered on a dating app (!!) in a project management approach (!!!) to give me a practice run for real life (!!!!!). And wouldn’t you know: I have realized that they are actually many wonderful men around hoping to commit and that I was actually quite attractive to them. Fast forward five months (including 3 under lockdown) and I am now in a loving relationship with a wonderful man, who happens to be everything I could hope for and beyond. And while we are being cautious, it feels so wonderful and natural and simple to be together that we might stay together for a very very very long time. So thank you, thank you so very much for sharing your happiness (in the middle of elements of shyness) leading me (and others I’m sure) to open my heart and discover that this element of happiness was in reach all along and a beautiful adventure possible. I hope you are being healthy at this time of uncertainty and I wish you the very best for your life and happiness. Take care!

When sharing my stories I never thought I’ll be affecting anyone in that way, that my stories had the power to change someone’s life like that.. this makes me SO VERY HAPPY for you. I’m glad you decided to take that step and that you actually found someone that wonderful to be with, I’m sure he finds you just as wonderful and he can’t thank his lucky stars enough for meeting you, you’re AMAZING!         Dear @azzo1, I apologise for taking so long to answer! It is difficult to aknowledge that my life has changed, except that I no longer have time to watch dramas (boyfriends are so time consuming!!) and I wear a stupid smile on my face now! 😁 We have just had a week by ourselves on vacation and it was wonderful: being together feels simple and obvious.
        But I wanted to give you some fun follow-up: during my online dating time, I shared my experiences with a small group of friends: I wanted the advice and support, and they helped me make the process funnier rather than daunting (on their side they found my adventures very entertaining!). But they were so impressed with my “success” that it gave the singletons the courage to date again!! One is now in a serious relationship, another has had more dates this month than the last years combined!! They are meeting my man tomorrow on a hike and are impatient to meet the person who has brought several persons out of singledom- I wish I could explain to them how a lady from far away had such an influence on me, and therefore on them…
        I wish you a wonderful summer and a smooth wedding preparation, despite the many obstacles weighting upon us!! Best best best!! 🤗

          Thank you for writing an update to me, you have no idea how happy this made me, seriously, I had the biggest grin reading this, I think I finally understand how beanies feel reading my stories!

          This is such good news, I’m just beyond happy for you and your little group of friends, I still can’t believe how me sharing my story with SNG here can affect someone’a life in such a way but I’m not going to take any credit for this, it was all you, really, for mustering up enough courage and putting yourself out there, and encouraging your friends in the process too.

          Also, I so very wish that your friends were a lot nicer to him than mine were with SNG 😂
