That was the issue, the writing was so disjointed and terrible. The gangsters, the poorly written gay man (whose sexuality was just a joke), the jarring genre shift to the psychopath, the 2MLs whole identity was being a cop and had no personality outside of that, and the constant bathroom humor.
Yep agree to everything you said. Also, I went into to this show ready to have a severe second male lead syndrome because of Jisoo, but Jisoo totally under performed in this drama. I want to forget he was in this drama. And every single episode I fell for Ahn Min Hyuk.
I loved SWDBS, but I’ve seen a lot of Beanies saying it was problematic. I wonder if it’s because the good parts outshone the bad for me or if it’s because the bad parts did not register with me. Either way I need to think.

Day 13: Most Overrated Drama
That would be Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. Had a cute OTP with good chemistry but everything else outside of that was awful.

I felt like I was watching a different show whenever the OTP was not on. I didnโt like it
Ahn Min Hyuk remained as one of my favourite male leads tho! He was just soooooo swoony and his eyes were dripping with honey 🤩

Ahn Min Hyuk definitely hard carried this show. At some point Bong Soon even pissed me off. But my love for Ahn Min Hyuk was constant.

I loved it too, but I found many portions of it problematic. I found the spouse abuse particularly hard to accept.
