I think that the main actors were the ones that made this drama for me (and Kim Seul-gi and her cute loveline!). I had something difficult happen while I was watching this drama that I was glad I would soon forget it. Maybe not the feeling, but my memory would soon become fuzzy. I think that is what pushed me to finish the drama. He couldn’t forget anything, but still decided to move past it and love again. I guess that was the reason I got upset at the final episodes. I get that they needed to be apart in order to grow their careers and own personal lives, but they kind of said they would tackle things together and then they didn’t. Also, her calling him anchor-nim until the end made me sad, that and the fact she never wore sweat pants once (maybe she did, but all I remember is her being dressed up all. the. time! Maybe I’m bitter because I’ve been living in my pjs during this quarantine, 😂). Anyways, it had a sweet ending which is all I wanted and overall it was an okay drama.
I’m stuck at eps 14 cos i saw the preview and i didn’t like it one bit. I liked the story cos i fully expected Anchor to reject Ha Jin a second time, so when he didn’t I thought this drama may do things differently. But from the preview and your comments I guess not.
As someone who grudgingly finished the drama, I would recommend you to just end it at Ep14 because if I have the gift of hindsight that’s what I would have done because the end of Ep15 made me raging mad and I couldn’t enjoy the last episode with the OTP because it rang false in my heart. And because of this drama, I’m swearing off any more Korean romantic drama because I’m done with idiotic and senseless last-minute time skip and separation until I forget why I swear off them in the first place (which is highly likely since I don’t have Anchor-nim memory of remembering everything)
I completely agree with you that the noble idiocy was the worst. I hate when a writer spends 12-14 episodes building an emotionally mature couple only to throw in a split that makes no sense in the name of a final conflict. There was plenty of conflict in this drama so I was definitely annoyed that two humans who said they would be there for each other suddenly split. *sigh* I still really enjoyed this drama, but the final few episodes did make me like it much less.
