I’m wondering the same thing. Whatever it is made her cry. She didn’t care about the lives lost from the war but something got to her. I’m sure it had something to do with her mom.
My question is did the Queen send someone to kill her or was it the villagers?

My theory is that if she doesn’t complete the task then either her mom or the prince she fell in love with will have to take on that burden.
