THE KING: Kind of wish we had a semi-sad ending ala Seven Day Queen.

Exactly! I guess kdrama writers will be confused lol. It’s the viewers who need happy endings but it’s the viewers who don’t like them too because they came out of nowhere. When the whole world was on fire, either there should have been slow progression towards the happiness or equal amounts of happiness and sadness.

It was pretty anti-climatic so the happy ending felt mehhh.

yup, that’s the word I’d describe it just mehh. Like it wasn’t spectacular or memorable.

Yeah, I like the in-between idea – in the places they go to, they were not a king and a detective, they were just Tae Eul and Lee Gon. That’s a nice idea. I feel like KES was going for an ending like CLOY where they meet once in a while, like they’re not together but they have small doses of happiness. I dunno, I think it just wasn’t executed well. Or maybe I just don’t know what to feel.

Or maybe I wanted a sad ending for a change – like I said, Seven Day Queen. Where they’re far away, they’re longing for each other but they can’t be together. I feel like that would have made a better impact.

I don’t even feel like watching the last episode because KES has disappointed me so badly
