Someone needs to make a drama called “Side Characters” and cast all the actors that keep getting casted in second lead roles as the main cast. I’m sick of my talented babes getting shafted 😂

I support this idea. And the drama will be about them struggling to get lead roles 😭

Honestly, it would make a great premise. The perfect hard luck set up 😂

I will cast SSR as a supporting role in this drama. He can be their manager. The main leads will be Kim Seul Gi and Lee Yi Kyung. Hahahaha

Happy together, a variety show had an episode about the side characters we keep seeing in every show who aren’t even that young anymore. Their hardships were too difficult to hear, they kept struggling for long and they still aren’t paid enough that is why they appear too often. But well that was a talk show but yeah for a drama it will be an interesting premise even if it’s about someone’s reall life struggles and sufferings.

Reminds me of Ha Do Kwon’s (kang Doo Ki in Stove League) guest appearance in Master in the House too. They talked about his struggles as an unknwon actor, trying to pursue a dream while taking care of his family. He even considered to quit acting. Even SSR had a similar-ish interview, he tries so hard because he was not given a chance before. And Oh Jung Se! He gave an awesome speech when he won the best supporting actor award at Baeksang.

I support a drama about supporting actors. I want them to rise~~~ riseeeeeee~~~~

So my mind was rolling about how to get this project off the ground and into reality. If producers need big names to get the project OK-ed because of ratings/etc., it would work if there’s a ferris wheel of cameos/guest appearances by big stars who must’ve worked with these side actors aplenty. Would be nice to see the big celebrities support these actors if they’ve worked together more than a few times and built a rapport.

Them playing actors struggling to get lead roles, I would love to see multiple takes on something like Lee Jae Wook’s struggling actor in Search W, with the drama within a drama. Then we’ll get several plotlines of different wacky, melodrama, and makjang. That’ll also make the cameos work and the drama fun, alongside showing versatility of the talented side actors.

    I’m already sad this won’t happen. :'(

Lol, you and I had the exact same thoughts.

I’m constantly disappointing myself by thinking up dramas that don’t exist 😂
