Okay.. some beanies have been asking me to repost the story of how SNG and I met.. I’ve deleted that for reasons everyone is aware of (I still hold a bit of grudge) .. so I’m going to share just a mini-version here for those who don’t know.

This is what happened:

One day in December last year, he came to my office looking for some work-related documents (a conference.. to be exact), and while I was talking to him he kept looking at me in a way that no one before him ever had. That got me nervous and my face went red and he noticed but didn’t say anything about it. I told him I didn’t have the documents with me so I gave him sticky-notes instead (yes, the moniker!) and asked him to write me the contact info. of the person he wanted me to send the documents to. He did but he also wrote me his number on another sticky note and told me that it was his. I didn’t know what to do with that piece of information (LOL) so I told him we needed one number and that made him laugh and him laughing made me flustered so I told him I’d call him (which I never did) and I gave away that sticky note to Finance Guy (which I got back). He came again the next week and this time he took my number, for “work” he said!

(Later he told me he knew that I was never going to call him and that I probably didn’t even know why he gave me his number.. but.. but HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW!)

Of course, to SNG, that’s not how we met, to him it was at that conference where we first met. It gets him so very frustrated that I can’t remember him from that day.

– You gave me my badge!
– I gave everyone their badge that day.
– In the lunch break you were looking at me directly!
– I was most probably just looking in your direction, not really at you.
– Our eyes met!
– No, they didn’t!
– How do you know if you can’t remember? (Frustration level is really high here😂)
– Because .. you have the most beautiful eyes and I think I would have remembered!
– I left no impression on you?
– Were you trying to leave an impression on me?
He never answers this but he does smile!

    Lol so he knew you won’t call! I’m assuming he still doesn’t know you gave that sticky note away not knowing what it was for to finance guy. I remember when we were all telling you to get that sticky note back, a few beanies suggested to wait and see if he does sth else and he came back and then we knew he was a keeper.

      Honestly, I wouldn’t have known what his number was for if it wasn’t for my sister, and really, I would have never even thought of him again if it weren’t for all the beanie comments that got him kind of stuck in my head 🙈

        I remember saying to not try to get the number back if you couldn’t, but to wait for the next move. He knew exactly where you were. So glad he took it. And yes, we all saw how interested he was in you with all your totally spot on and adorable descriptions of how he looked at you, spoke to you, etc. And also glad he was so nice to you during those first dates and also to your sisters and his coworkers!

          Oh yeah I remember you suggesting that but not the other beanies who agreed with you. When he did show up, I gathered that I I have no experience in all this and maybe I can’t give the best advice. Also, I’ll look up for you if I ever need some relationship advice Ally 😂

        Your response to the situation was pretty adequate, i can see many introverts doing that lol but atleast sth good came out of writing it here 😂. Though none of that matters much in front of him showing up again at your workplace since, he gathered that you won’t call. So yeah meant to be and fated 😁

          Honestly, her and I aren’t exactly friends so I never told her about SNG until just now when we got engaged.. and she looked so hurt and betrayed that I felt guilty 🙈
