This episode hit home for me. 😭 I love it! ❤

I love that there are characters that made conscious decision to break free. One gave away a most prized possession and another a haircut. 💕

Another takeaway is about how unreliable memories can be. How you remember things may not be what actually happened. Kang Tae realized that and made him remember his mother more fondly. Tears were running down my face during those flashbacks with his Mom. 😭

This episode was one of my favourites, Kang Tae made me cry this episode (KSH and tears is not a good combo for my poor heart), and Ko Moon-young cutting her hair made me so happy for her. I always had a feeling Kang Tae might not have been remembering his memories clearly so I was waiting for the flashback scenes to extend more like it did in episode 7, glad to see I was correct and Kang Tae’s mother did care for him

I too am really glad that his Mom did care for both her sons. I mean both guys turned out to be decent human beings so she must have been a good person at least. But its different when they actually show those scenes and just pull those heartstrings.
KSH is really good in these emotional scenes. The episodes are just getting better.

“I mean both guys turned out to be decent human beings so she must have been a good person at least.”

The implicit assumption in this statement is if you don’t turn out good, then your parents were not nice?

        Not a fair assumption!

Maybe. but the brothers may have turned out worse if they grew up with a mother that did not care or treated the boys horribly.
