Yeah gotta throw in the cult. When I really think about it it, maybe it’s just writers pulling from real life things, or things that are perceived to be. Being from the US I can’t judge anyone government but even I get surprised at the cover ups in Korea. Also they have an insane amount of cults in Korea, I think more thank any other modern country.

Realize that I don’t really like Korean thrillers because the culprit the majority of the time is either a politician, Chaebol or combination of both.
