My Mid-year Bean Count!
Despite my short list, it’s actually been a good year so far by Toki standards:
1) Crash Landing On You: funny and romantic. What you’d expect from a classic kdrama.
2) I’ll Find You On A Beautiful Day: Long title, wonderful OST and setting, rather weak ending.
3) My Holo Love: Comfort food for an easy binge-watch.
4) The King: Eternal Monarch: Hold my PPL coffee and jam and bread. Oh my brain.
5) Hospital Playlist: I’m still playing the OST every day as I work… I believe!!
I’ve dropped several dramas and watched a few older ones, so I’m the farthest from a slump I could possibly be. Hurrah!
Ok! (I don’t need much convincing). It will be a treat to see Park Sung-hoon in non serial-killer mode after PSYCOPATH DIARY (though he does make a killer handsome criminal).
Like you I loved HOSPITAL PLAYLIST. So one more time.
I just became aware of Bella and Lucas’ four hands piano videos on YouTube while hunkered down in quarantine. Have you seen/heard them perform? Quite enjoyable.
Here is their HP OST video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqoJNoMs5VQ&list=RDyqoJNoMs5VQ&start_radio=1&t=31
Thank you, that’s beautiful! I remember watching their covers of the piano theme of Crash Landing on You: https://youtu.be/oAuJUVfi_I0
I may yet manage to learn Korean by singing along to the OST of HOSPITAL PLAYLIST. Usually I just hum along or sing lalalalala to drama soundtracks, but this time I can actually remember some of the lyrics! The English bits help.
Has there been another just silly low key romcom like My Holo Love this year? I’ve been so out of the drama scene lately… but I think I’d like to try one like that to dip my feet back in…
I actually can’t think of other “silly low key romcoms” this year! Maybe I’m not the best person to ask because I’ve watched too few dramas. I did watch SHOPPING KING LOUIE recently and found it a cute, low-stress and laugh-inducing watch, if you feel like it.
Or maybe you could try web dramas that don’t require much commitment. Gogh’s Starry Night is pretty addictive.

Oh, this is my gif! Hehe!
I approve of both in your “considering” category!!
I, personally, am liking 2020 kdramas a lot more than 2019!

Wowwww, you can find my gifs in Google?! That’s amazing to me, I only upload them on giphy or imgbb and then post them here!
I don’t need credit, I just think it’s super cool seeing other people use my gifs!

Toki, jump INTO THE RING. Both Nana and Park Sung-hoon are giving great performances.

Both shows are really worth it.

Sigh… drama watching is just another thing I’ve been bad at in 2020…
I’ve never seen Shopping King Louie! Maybe now is the time!
