Day 2 A book that youve read more than 3 times.
This is a toughie. Im a serial re-reader. I read and then read again, and then go back to favorite scenes and read those….I love to live in a world.
Ill say….Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I read it for the first time in elementary school and hated it. I was too young. But in college I worked in a library amd they had the vhs tapes with Colin Firth smouldering on the spine. I checked all 6 tapes out over the holiday weekend and fell. In. Love. I read the book again that following weekend and now reread it every few years.

Day 3 Your favorite series. This is another one thats pretty hard! I love series!
In no particular order: Heist Society, Darkest Powers, Harry Potter (before jk discovered twitter). These are worlds I still long to live in and Unwind. I dont want to live in Unwind but I appreciate the world of Unwind.

Day 4 Favorite book of favorite series
We’re going to have a real problem if they keep tossing out the word “favorite”
Im going rogue and will give you instead two of my favorite scenes IN a series
Little House on the Prairie–I dont even remember which one, one of the latter ones. When Manly proposes to Laura
Book 3 of the in Death series when Eve and Roarke fight about her moving in and she breaks down and comes to his mansion. And when Somerset soothes Eve adter learning about her past and her nightmares.

All caught up! Tag me, please! Id love to see what yoire reading!

      I love that scene.
“Laura, what do you think about getting married?”
      “Depends on whos asking.”
      “…and if its me?”
      “Depends on the ring…”
      “What about this one?”
I hate that cancel culture is coming for this series. Yes. Laura wrote some racist stuff. But shes also a product of her time. Read the books and talk about the time. Reading them doesnt legitimize the racism. Same with Walk Two Moons.

It’s so good, I love that scene as well.

I wish people could see things for being a product of their time and maybe use them for a jumping off point for conversations instead of just hide it away.

(For the record the reason I don’t like The First Four Years is to do with the many sad things that happen – I prefer to think of Laura going off into the future happily and everyone being healthy and alive).
