It has its problems (the entire ordeal with Do Hui-jae was unnecessary and felt contrived; the air of mystery surrounding the backstory turned out to be way less intriguing than I thought it would be, perhaps because the last little bit was handled in such a hammy way; by the end of the show, I felt like ST didn’t have autism and MY didn’t have ASPD; etc.), but, overall, IOTNBO is a pretty good drama. Will I watch it again? No, probably not, but that’s okay. It was a fun ride. Additionally, I’m glad it introduced me to SYJ and KSH (well, I watched a bit of The Producers, but not enough to really get a handle of KSH). I like both of them and will watch future stuff of theirs, as well as take a look at their past work (I’m especially interested in Lawless Lawyer, which also features LJG!).

I also watched Real and KSH was good in that, but that movie was so weird and mediocre that I didn’t think to watch anything else by KSH after watching it.

Real had real issues in the directing part honestly. It’s unfortunate you saw that instead of his two other films which are more decent to watch.

I didn’t think Lawless Lawyer was the best drama but I’d still recommend for both LJG and SYJ! Another SYJ drama that’s really good is Save Me. The plot/scenes get freaky at times but it’s very well produced and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

“by the end of the show, I felt like ST didn’t have autism and MY didn\’t have ASPD” ugh really? I dropped the show mid way but I just thought I’ll pick it back up to see where they went with ASPD and autism. So did it become love and attention cures all?

I think that’s sort of what happened with MY (like by the end, she just seemed like a person who’s a bit self-centered/amoral but otherwise pretty normal; she no longer seemed like a person with a personal disorder). As for ST, I just think his general social awareness and adaptability by the end belied any superficial mannerisms suggesting autism (this may just be my own view, having seen lots and lots of autistic children over the years as a result of visiting my mom’s classes on days off as a volunteer).

I thought MY would be a bigger issue for me till I read a letter Kiara linked in one of the recaps to someone with ASPD who is able to love and have a more normal life after he sought help, and that made my initial misgivings at where they were gonna take MY’s ASPD or whatever it was, not as strong, and made the happy ending more believable.
I also just stopped focusing on that aspect after the half way mark almost entirely (perhaps because the show also did idk?)

I don’t know enough about Autism to know if ST’s development was realistic, but I did personally enjoy it, or rather I enjoyed him overcoming his trauma and helping others and thought that was done really well, and that all the characters did GROW from where they were in the beginning.
Both Autism and ASPD are spectrums at least anyway.

But at the same time, I did wish, and kinda still do, now that you’ve bought it up, that it addressed some of the mental health issues a bit more directly.
Did it just use them as a gimmick or did it not. That was a big concern of mine at the beginning, but now… I am either undecided, or the last 6 episodes didn’t induce in me enough investment to care anymore.

(I’m beginning to think I should’ve mentioned this in my review haha- I was going to. )

Lawless Lawyer is good! I love the pace (ahem)! And the corporation of the leads! The plot between the villains got a bit boring and it was a little tough to continue, nonetheless, still a decent work!

LL was fun, but kinda lost steam in the second half (a bit like It’s OK actually haha). It’s watchable though. Plus SYJ and LJG lol.
