This has to be my 2020 pick so far! I haven’t had the chance to watch a lot this year so I’ve been very picky about what to live watch. Beanies recommended this on the wall and I was able to catch it on its fourth week. I don’t really like watching dramas with politics involved, but this one was different. Yeah, it had a lot about getting elected and trying to pass reforms, but Goo Se-ra had such a big heart to injustices and just tried her best even after failing which was really impressive. I guess you can say that I give up easily so I always admire people that pick themselves up and keep fighting. Plus, talk about the cutest OTP!! My cold-heart fluttered so much when Gong confessed to Se-ra, and when she looked after him when he needed someone by his side as well. I’m the type of person that forgets everything, even if I like it, but I still remember what Se-ra said in the letter she wrote to the voters when she thought she lost: That even though she got rained on, she didn’t want someone to hold her umbrella, but to be just by her side bearing the rain together. I don’t know, but that touched me so much and even though I feel really lonely right now, I think I’ll remember it if only so I can be a better friend and person to others when they are struggling. I really enjoyed this drama a lot!
