Do You Like Brahms (1-2): It’s just the first two episodes and I find myself falling in love with these two characters – one at the top of his game but not really, the other almost rock bottom but still striving to achieve her dreams. Two very different people in different stages of life meeting at a happy middle. I’m so excited where this show leads us. And though it doesn’t have a lot of pomp and circumstance, it doesn’t need to – it has enough heart and heartwarming charm to fill the gap.

I’m wanting to like it, but I need it to speed up and something to happen. I mean, I can see where the story with the leads is going but I need less looking into the void with pity.
I loved we are told the story from both points of view. It was different and I liked it.
I need another week to decide, because I desperately want to like it.

I’m in the same boat as you! I thought the start lacked energy and I’m not sure I can deal with something this slow for too long :/ But the music selection has been terrific – the violin and piano piece was stunning. They’ve. done a far better job with the music (selection and performance) than “When the weather is fine” did, so far, at least.

I love the classic pieces they are playing, but for me in When the weather is nice the music was another character (as well as the light), not only the classic pieces.
But you are right when you say the performance is better.

I’m ignoring the non-classical pieces in this show, which hasn’t really struck me so far.

I think I’m a bit overwhelmed with really fast-paced shows this airing season like FOE and Alice, that I’ve been wanting to see something a bit slower and more melo. Hope you like it, but if you don’t, that’s definitely okay too. 🙂

I already hate the second lead female though.

She’s very hatable, IMO. I mean, she’s always with that annoyed look on his face, while his cheerful boyfriend (who obviously has no social intelligence at all to see her girlfriend is totally indifferent to him and that his best friend is in love with his girlfriend) plays around like a puppy she’s just like a stick. I foresee tragedy already.
The same thing goes to the the other triangle: cheerful ex girlfriend who still loves ex boy friend and plays the cool ex and he lets her. Maybe the cheerful ones should be together and the ones pretending to have an interior life so profound that makes them sad can be together and she can see some more cute interactions between the leads.

Too many triangles. this is what is making me hesitate about this show.
I wonder if it will improve once they get onto campus and return to university classes etc.

Second female lead is depressed and doesn’t know what she wants. That’s not helping the situation.

Besides the music, being able to listen to Kim Min Jae’s voice is pretty much what is really keeping me going on the acting front so far.

Gosh. I smell manipulation in the coming eps from her.

Hahaha, she’s already manipulating the two boys – I won’t be surprised if she’s going to keep on doing it. Though I’m sort of shutting myself off from her first and trying to concentrate on the leads because they’re actually the good parts of the show. I wish her arc wont be as big.
