EP 13 sucked bad. Ugh, I hate it when the bad guys get the upper hand and I hate it even more when the writer dumbs down the good guys in order to pull off the schemes/conflict. There were a bunch of stupid things in this ep. How did Ji Won’s & Hyun Soo’s progress go backwards so fast. :/

I agree. A really shitty episode. As I’ve commented elsewhere, I just wont believe it if they don’t break up now. If Ji-won stays with him, she’s delusional.

/sighs/ They were doing so well last week. But Hyun Soo kept his plans/info from her again. Lack of communication and teamwork.

I still like them together (we’ll see how it goes next week…), but they would need to resolve their problems in a satisfying way and make improvements on both sides. And therapy.
It’s annoying that their relationship was damaged that easily after their heartfelt talk. They need help.

Whether he’s genuinely sticking a knife to her neck or just putting on a show, it’s probably all the same to Ji-won at this point (she’ll only find out the truth afterwards). After all the lying and all the drama, this seems like just too much. She’d have to be crazy to stick with him after all this.

Actually I found the ending very intriguing… DHS will do anything to protect JW and save her professionalism and reputation

I don’t know. Is that what this is? How do you explain the hallucination then?

Hmm, interesting. You mean like he took her away so that she doesn’t lose her job or her rep when everyone else has found out that he is DHS? So everyone will think that she was innocent or did not hinder their investigation?

I wish she hadn’t handcuffed him though. He would have probably been willing to go to the station calmly.

I don’t know what to think of this theory in light of the ending sequence. How are we supposed to understand the hallucination for instance?

DHS hates and is scared of his father and considering his reaction to the recorded voice he obsessively loves his mother… my theory is when he remembered how his father blamed his mom for falling out of love… he will behave 180 degree opposite his father… trusting his wife’s love and trying to save her face (her job) while trying to solve the case together

I think her extreme action of handcuffing him, telling him that he is a murder suspect and therefore, her betrayal, caused his emotions/anxiety to build up? He didn’t have chest pain, but the hallucination effect instead. And he thought of his father’s (terrible) interpretation of love.

This might be true too… but if we remember how DHS behaved before whenever someone betrayed him, like when his roommate betrayed him, he tried to not be like his father and just left the scene… there is no way he ever wanted to hurt JW… he loves her more than he loves himself… we saw over and over that he’s willing to sacrifice himself for JW

I think they were both trying to protect each other on their own way… but I believe DHS plan is smarter as he has the upper hand knowing more about Baeks and his father, and also the gangster guy

I kept thinking that he was going to run off and escape when she was trying to handcuff him. And do his own investigation/hunt for the accomplice.

…But that will leave her in a sticky situation.
