I lost all self respect and fell hard in episode 4 of Record of Youth. The best episode so far of this series. Park Bo Gum finally shows us why he’s who is is. And it was intentionally from the beginning. We were confused about his character and the insincerity of it because his character was confused—not the actor, and that’s exactly what was conveyed. With episode 4, we see it click in his head, who he really is, and Hye Jun is clearer on this. Bo Gum knows exactly what he’s doing. I thought this would be a walk in the park for him—an easy character to play before enlisting. But now I see why he chose it, there are flashes of Sun-ho and Seok-hun (characters which he hasn’t been able to show in a long time). I learned something in episode 4 about movies vs kdramas. I’ll wait until episode 4‘S recap to share it and how this resonates with Bo-gum

Bam! RoY isn’t on my region’s Netflix and been wondering if it’s worth looking for it on dodgy sites. I had such great expectations about PBG and PSD that I’ve been kind of holding back because I was afraid to be disappointed… Glad that you’ve said that it’s one of those dramas that shape up on the second week!

Yes, it just gets better. I have faith it will be better than Temperature of Love, at the very least! Lol.

It’s pretty good so far. It has that introspective feel to it. I’m already rooting for Gramps along with the two leads.

Yes, we totally see it click in his head in this episode!

And those last 6 minutes or so? Simply fantastic.
