It was such a hot mess….a beautifully shot, intelligent, artistic hot mess. Another Beanie (who is a writer in Hollywood) once commented to me “The problem with ML:SHR is ‘death by notes'”, or another way to put it “too many cooks in the kitchen”. It had EVERYTHING going for it, but various demands seemed to stifle the life out of it. Such a shame, we could have had it all. I still loved it, though – especially episode 11. That was the high point.
A historical fiction fantasy sageuk with an all too true dysfunctional family that would make anyOne’s head spin. Ahh, kinda wishing for another one like this to come along, heh.
