did she truly love him or not..

and what is she upto now.. just wants to own the company and be a career woman.. or wants to take revenge on hubby’s death.. or is just fed up of men looking down on her (hubby, father, brother, secy, ex bf).. and wants to just burn the world?

Its actually not that convoluted, she was brought up a certain way where end justifies means and money rules the world. Her husband knew it when he fell in love with her and loved her anyway but that ultimately killed him when it got too much for his conscience to bear. Maybe, he thought their love would make things different for her, for them, who knows. She is not a different person, it was because of her involvement that her husband betrayed his mentor, senior aka Eun Su’s father. You can love a decent man and be absolute trash otherwise. Its just now that her husband isn’t there to hold her back, her claws are fully out. Is she conflicted, yes but her husband is dead and she is the one left alive, I doubt she will change much now.

If she gives an inch she loses. She does not want to lose. But not just for herself, for him in a way. On some level I think she feels like she’s fighting a war with her father and brother that killed her husband. She can’t let them win that war and that’s all she cares about right now.

I agree that she doesn’t want to lose but she is playing by the exact rulebook her father and brother play by and she has a child to think about, the one her husband very selfishly left behind. She is on self preservation mode and that is for herself and her off springs only. Considering how the writer keeps it real, I don’t see her doing anything to change status quo. She is not any more likely to change her nature, greed than Seo Dong Jae is likely to not be a weasel. I think each and everyone of us lie to ourselves to rationalize our behaviors, our actions to an extent. I wouldn’t be surprised if that is her thought process to make peace with who she is and reality of her marriage and Lee Chang Jun’s death.

I don’t think she’s really clear herself. That’s what she knows. But when she visited DJ in hospital, I was blown away by her evil parting comment.
