I know the fanwall is falling apart because of episode 14 of Brahms. But I actually enjoyed this episode and find the build up to the break up and the break up itself an interesting watch. Both JY and SA need a breather to be honest.
This does have me beginning to suspect that I have a pretty high tolerance for what is deemed “melo.” Although everything Song Ah expressed this episode doesn’t seem melodramatic to me; I feel like she’s had very realistic reactions to everything that’s been thrown at her. Joon Young too, guys are sometimes just on another wavelength. He doesn’t mean to hurt Song Ah but he does, unwillingly. So maybe in my book I don’t even classify this as melo so that’s why I’m still enjoying this. Who knows.
That being said, I’m (unfortunately) not very convinced that the writer will sort this out in a satisfactory manner. I’m trying to be optimistic though. Surprise me Show. Please let these two puppies be happy. And no one year time jump.
I feel like they could have cut out half the professor and Jung Kyung stuff (which felt repeated over a stretch of 4 episodes) and maybe introduced the break up sooner to then give us a more developed ending with a cute finale. But hey….shall see how they make this work.
I am with you on this one. The episodes this week are not disappointing, and I did think they need this. I actually liked the fact that Song Ah – did express everything that she feels and thinks to JY. Also, she is just looking out for herself and for her to get confident first and find out who she is before she can love. They each need to be their own whole selves before they can fully love someone else. Hopefully this gets delivered well next week. I am also keeping my fingers crossed to this.
Right? I was cheering for her when she questioned why JY was always apologizing. If she’s not happy she shouldn’t keep struggling. I know JY is struggling too but it’s like he’s emotionally blocked and can’t fully confide in Song Ah. Even him trying to hide the Träumerei recording to not hurt Song Ah was opposite of what she had asked of him. She didn’t want him to hide things from her to ‘protect’ her. She’d rather be made aware. They both need time to heal on their own. They just have too much pressure on them from outside forces.
