DDSSLLS – Just finished all the available episodes including Ep 8. I really like it and there’s something very pure and sweet about it. It’s a fine balance that’s difficult to achieve. More below.
In the hands of a less skilled director or actors, it will be cringe-worthy but it’s just RIGHT here.
Does the ‘age’ thing bothering? Not for me and this issue has been set up from Ep 1 as the main conflict – with Jun’s half a second hesitation when saying to Ra-ra he’s 24 too. He’s however such a mature person that the mere 4 or 5 years difference will become nothing over time.
Go Ara may not be the best actress out there but she’s absolutely lovely here that you can’t help but root for her. What can I say about Lee Jae-wook? He injects credibility into every role he plays and he might grow to be the best actor of his generation.
We are now at the half way point and as a viewer, I just wish it doesn’t falter in the second half because it has been sweetly winning so far in everything.
Personally, I find the age thing disturbing, but knowing that the show receives much love from other Beanies makes me feel glad. The show is lovely, never cringe-worthy and very refreshing. It makes me feel like reliving the olden days again when there seemed to be no evil in the world and everyone loved one another.
Poor dr.Cha, I was literally heartbroken for him being turned down that fast. 😢
The show is also successful in the sense that it made me listen to instrumental pieces now. I am always amazed by how well the actors playing Ra-ra, dr.Cha and Jae-min play piano. They look like they are great at playing piano in real life!
