Based on the progression of the episode, it was clear DS would eventually want to reset his relationship with Dal-mi, aka go to America to become rich and famous. Like the idea of him taking time to become his own person, from honest foundations. Dislike the idea that he becomes a trophy for Dal-mi (though I’m sure next episode, she’ll accept him for who he is before he leaves). Kind of disappointed she asked for the fake version of him while drunk, “you were my pride”. I thought we just established DS doesn’t want that kind of burden.

Dal-mi also seems to be regressing fast. What happened to the girl who dropped out of college to buy halmeoni a corn dog truck? Why is her self-worth tied to whether she likes 15 years ago DS or today’s DS? Maybe the show hasn’t highlighted just how much Dal-mi has felt out of place (CEO in tech) that even the slightest doubt that she was hired as part of a deal is enough to break her.

Also, I hope Ji-pyeong learns that it’s not okay to talk down to people because he is an “investor”. Really disliked how cruel he was to Samsan-tech in ep 1 – almost gratuitous imo, under the pretense of “I’m doing you a favor by being a jerk, because the real world is much worse”. I guess the real world is Yong-san’s brother. I get it, you grew up without parents. But you can’t go around stabbing people with words.

I dont think DM knew yet abt DS issues? And i think she hit rock bottom not just due to the lie, but also cos she’s stressed abt demo day & not knowing a lot of the tech stuff – in that scene where the 4 was discussing, DM stood outside the door trying to google stuff (i’ve done that in meetings too 😅)

I smell a time skip coming but we still have a few episodes to go..
