*ahem* There is a glaringly missing drama on your older drama list.

Heh. I didn’t want to bore you with the long list of dropped /on hold dramas…
That list also tends to prompt the wrath of beanies who think I should have watched those dramas. So I choose to not mention them.

Watch the last episode. It’s the best of them and Jang Geun Suk wrote it. Of course then you’ll miss the obligatory hospital and IV scene (and it isn’t for Mary!).

Nice try at making me curious about who ended up in hospital… I may ff just to see if it’s Kim Jae Wook.

Also a huge fake out in second to the last episode (going on faulty memory here).

He does look the most anemic of the trio but Mary sheds so many tears it’s a wonder she isn’t totally dehydrated. Have you seen the “lost on the mountain everyone must search” portion of our saga? Really, it’s hard to imagine fitting more tropes into one drama.

among the 4 C-dramas and the older list, would you recommend some ?

Out of the C-dramas, I recommend LOVELY US. It has some nice messages about friendship and family. It has a “retro” feel because it’s set during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. One of the characters likes watching kdramas. 😂

MY UNICORN GIRL is ok if you want something light and don’t mind tropes. I haven’t watched any other wuxia romance so I don’t really know if THE MOON BRIGHTENS FOR YOU is good, but it was fun. I liked the OTP.

Out of the older list, I recommend: Live Up To Your Name, Shopping King Louie.

I forgot to add that I re-watched FULL HOUSE TAKE 2. It’s one of my favorite rom-coms (nothing to do with Full House 1!) ☺️

I might watch Full House Take 2 if you watch the end of Mary. I will be liberally fast forwarding if it’s anything like Full House.

        thank you 🙂
I’ve added them to my to-watch list (some were already there ^^’ , better trust the list than my brain haha)
        Already watched Louie <3
(Full house take 2 , when it was out back then, I couldn't get myself to start it, is it really good ? or some so-bad-it's-good ? )
(Full house was one of my first drama, I enjoyed it , it didn't age that well though ^^')

Yay! I look forward to your 2020 list if you have one 🙂

Just to clarify for @ndlessjoie, “Full House Take 2” is a play on the characters’ names. The female lead is called Jang Man Ok (“full house” in Hanja), and the guys are idol group “Take 2”.

I don’t think it’s bad at all. It was produced jointly by SBS and Japanese companies, so some scenes are set in Japan. The spoken Chinese is also decent. It has its faults but I love it. It’s entertaining. 😅
