Now I’m starting to wonder if the writer-nim still remembers that Han Ji-pyeong isn’t the ML..

I don’t care for the first and second title. KSH and NJH are both leads. Can’t say the same for BS and KH though.. there’s a clear distinction between them.

I know what you mean, but I think his character is overshadowing the ML tbh. That’s why I’m unsure if that’s really the intention of the writer, or if the actor is unexpectedly good.

It‘s his unbelievable acting and the well thought out character sketch, growth plan and script that makes him overshadow the ML. The writer must be a fan of his, or his character.

DoSan and DalMi are so poorly written in comparison with JiPyeong.
So yes, someone please remind her who is the real ML (the one who gets the girl at the end, as a trophy).

As it turned out, I think HJP character really carries the show. How come you make everything revolve around him instead of the main leads? Perhaps it’s a way of getting the public’s attention, but then you undermine the development of the leads’ characters. I actually thought that by KHP getting so much attention from fans might result in In-jae getting less and less screen time; they can’t reduce the screen time of the OTP anyway so who knows?

My sincere wish is for them to give us alternate endings.

Dunno about the writer, but the director surely is a fan of his! I heard Ep 1-10 were pre-produced. Sometimes, certain roles/actors pop up. It’s unpredictable tbh, I wonder if even the writers knew that HJP/KSH would get this much adoration?

“Director Oh: I’ve always been a fan of Kim Seon-ho. He has this very clean yet complex aura about him. He seems very sharp, but he’s really just a softie on the inside and he is just one of those, you know, I don’t want to say cute or adorable, but he indeed is such a cute character, and very friendly. The character Han Ji-pyeong, he also has the sharpness about him, but he’s also a softie on the inside, and I felt like Kim was perfect to convey that.”

If you think about it’s really a three person story, they are the main leads no doubt. Someone said that the show uses HJP to show a new plot, as well as his impact/Ex. In-jae/Dal-mi sister job scene. He’s the one that they use to drive the plot forward, check out the Netflix descriptions for the episodes too. Now, I see why KSH chose the role. It carries more heft/weight than expected.
