I have finished The Good Detective. I have a ton of different feelings while watching the show because they like the show itself was everywhere. I laughed, cried, was in shock.
And I still stand by Seo kyeong being the absolute worst at her job. She did not get it, to the very end.
I loved this show, and I agree with you that she was one of the weakest parts, but even so, I can understand her.
In case you haven’t read: this was my post when I finished. https://www.dramabeans.com/members/eazal/activity/1122116/
I just finished it yesterday and I actually skipped ep 14 & 15 and just watched ep 16.
I hated how they brushed off what Seo Kyeong did (or didnt do) and honestly couldn’t care less about the mystery and who killed who.
Having said that I wouldnt mind a second season because what I loved about the show was the relationship between our heroes.
Here is where I think my problem lies with Seo Kyeong. There was never any opportunity to really see if she was smart or talented. Everything on paper read like she was given these opportunities to either infantize her or want to pursue a romantic relationship with her. It was all about her looks and nothing else. I can’t even say she had a personality. She likes to drink and…………that’s it. She had absolutely no chill, game or a real personality to have gotten the opportunities that she did and her looks helped get her that far and not much else.
