I’m digging Run On but I’m also pretty skeptical. This is pretty opposite to what I thought before I watched the first two episodes. I like it and it is an easy watch but what is it about? I’m unclear about the story. Maybe it’s only character driven but even that needs some purpose. What is that here? Is it a standard romantic drama about two people falling in love? I feel that works better in movies than in dramas.
But Im Shi Wan’s role is very interesting and he and Soo young are acing it. SSK ‘s character is atypical but she is doing well, it’s just that in her scenes with Soo young, SY clearly steals the scene.

What I noticed about SY’s character (and thus is really unusual for mr oblivious here) was that she, as a chaebol heiress in the fashion and celebrity business, was walking around in sensible sneakers. A first sighting for me.

And yes, she’s so far the more compelling personality.

While it may be simply PPL, i think it was good that they wore sneakers. I also noticed that.

I noticed the sneakers and it made me laugh. It was too practical for a K-drama.

From the first two episodes, I’m going to say falling in love, finding a purpose, falling and getting back up in their lives and careers. Kind of romance/youth drama stuff.

I like all of the actors and characters, but Soo young really caught my attention.

I think these themes exist too but the story doesn’t exactly seem to be based on them like in Record of Youth.
I have only seen SY in Squad 38 and I was disappointed because I had heard only good things about it. However now I realize her character was so bland in the show, she wasn’t given the opportunity to be slightly interesting and show her acting skills.
