Sunbae, DPOTL: Ep 2. What is the genre of this drama?? I thought Melo, then after the first episode I thought it was dark Melo. And now I feel like this is going cheating makjang revenge drama direction.
They have already made it difficult to like Ro-Woon’s character. He is sending mixed signals. He seems genuine, he regrets his actions but then his actions seem too bold/hasty/out of the line.
Will probably continue for another week.
I was really looking forward to this one, but the execution is bumpy. I find that the biggest problem is it can’t quite decide which genre/ tone it’s going for. It marketed itself as a slice of life office romance with some melo undertones, but the way it handles the reveals and emotional beats is very makjang.
I was really looking forward to this one when it was announced and I thought it to be a romcom but the trailers went makjang and I was like nope. I love Rowoon but not this much
i was ok with episode 1 and half of episode 2.
Melo meets makjang meets revenge, that’s how it feels.
I may watch next week, but I don’t think so.
It’s a pity. LHW first leading role…
