I feel sad. It didn’t really sink in that Got7 disbanded until I saw that Mark was home. A gif of Got7 is what set me down my k-entertainment path. Of all the groups I started with 7 or so yrs ago only BTS remains unchanged. I guess it’s true, all good things must come to an end.
Im still holding on to a tiny, tiny bit of hope (as much as I try not to) theyve all said that they still want to work together and release music together as GOT7 and that they are going to take this time to establish themselves in their solo careers first. Of course this is what nsync said when Justin released his first solo album behind everyones back. Nsync is more than a group of guys who do music together. Were best friends – no, brothers! And we all know how that turned out. But for now Im holding on to the small moments that Ive seen on social media (all these years later I still dont know how to post a pic in comments! Grr) but for example someone tweeted out that they had just joined the fandom and wtf was even happening right now? And BamBam responded to chill out theres still GOT7 and there would still be GOT7 music down the road.
GOT7 just couldnt exist as GOT7 under that label anymore. And really I cant blame them. They really did get treated like crap. So hopefully, theyll be more like the BSB and really will continue releasing music and evolving like they say they want. Well see?
It’s sad how bad they were treated. I bet they’re happy they can have a life and work too. JB hasn’t said what his plans are but I wouldn’t be surprised if he waited until after the army.
I’ve been feeling all weird and emo about this too. I don’t even really follow them, but they’re such a fun group and one of the first ones I knew about.
