Mr. Queen: I’ve complained before about how the show really under-utilised both Seol In Ah and Yoo Min Kyu (god I’m still crying about how he went from Black Dog to this) but here’s to hope this show at least gave them some branding recognition and meatier roles in the future! My optimistic self tells me that the drama gods will reward her effort in 2020 (she worked in 3 separate dramas over the whole year!) with a leading role in a prime-time drama. As for him, I hope that if he has to take on more supporting roles, the added exposure now should mean that he’ll play a role with more presence. He’s certainly capable!

P.S The actor playing Byung In, Na In Woo, also enjoyed a significant boost as his Instagram profile went from like <4k followers to 275k+ followers! He did play almost the same character as in Mystic Pop-up Bar so there’s a significant risk of being typecast. Also, he did act well but I’m not convinced that he has range beyond the obsessive deranged maniac archetype. If I was to be pessimistic, I foresee that he could have a problem where he’s able to play serious roles well but doesn’t have exactly the same gravitas in lighter roles.
