Looking for Netflix Recommendations!
I have finally realized that the next k drama crop isn’t for me. Even if they might be good I’m not in the mood. So I’m finally trying to come out of my Asian drama comfort zone and welcome a bit of a change. Looking for Netflix recs, sth preferably like Derry Girls, short, funny, with a historic background but anything will do right now as long as its good.
P. S. I have no idea why this sounds like an ad, I guess I’m just sleepy.
Some of the docu-series are really good!! One that I recently finished “Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel”– short and sweet at just 4 episodes, but very compelling and keeps the viewer invested
I totally forgot about that. I did watch NHIE but stopped it midway because I was distracted. I did like it but only kdramas could retain my attention back then lol. Thanks I’ll catch up to that 😊
I’ve never seen Derry Girls so here are my short but good pics: October Faction, Umbrella Academy, Sherlock, Queen’s Gambit, Bodyguard and Travelers. Raising Dion was cheesy but still good enough to pass the time.

Oh I love docu series but I’m not really into crime. But I’ll check it out maybe my tolerance level for crime has increased. Thanks 😁

Have you seen Never Have I Ever? It’s hilarious and heartwarming and very much in the vein of Derry Girls.

I really enjoyed Call My Agent, which I think is one of cleverest comedies I have watched in years. French, with an ensemble cast, and so so smart.

Your suggestion definitely came to my mind and it’s on my list for when I’m in the mood of watching something serious and heartwarming.
