Its saturday already in Jakarta, and we’re on our annual flood day. 😅😅
I personally busy put up my stuff that placed at lower space into the top of shelf, cupboard, wardrobe and everything. The water went up just a few cm from our front door, so our house is pretty much dry. but still, just in case 😁.
Dont worry to much tho, the water dried up already by now, and if its stay dry tonight and tommorow, our flood day of the year is pretty much over 😂😂.

Theres ofcourse no such thing as flood day 🤣. Its a moonsoon flood, and happened pretty much around this date every year we’re not shocked anymore😓. Some years its just the areas near rivers (not riverbanks tho. Little further away from the river), some years its half of jakarta become water park. Some years it takes days to dry up, some dries within hours.
This year’s flood is quite tamed in comparison of last year’s.
Fun fact, if you search up the news in international newssites, they’ll emphasises the number of “victims”. But if you looked up the local news or sns, you’ll mostly find people making memes or having fun as if theyre in the waterpark or sth.
I love the sense of humor of you guys! 🤣 I know that sometimes we have to see the funny side of everything in order to be able to bear with the situation (people in my country do that too.) But here’s hoping that everything will dry soon.
