Master in the House biggest prank ever with Rain, bam! It was stressful to watch even knowing what was going on. Ciipher debut Mar 15, fighting! Rain is a task master! Guys it was a joke, but wow!

Oh my gosh this ep stressed me out so much! Poor Donghyun was crying even, haha. It didn’t help that I know this stuff goes on for real with other kpop groups.

Anyway their song is pretty good. I’ll hold off on watching any live performances, though, I’m too scared!

It really was stressful. Eun Woo looked like he was holding his breath out of shock , and Sun Rok barely moved for fear of a Rain thunder cloudburst. I actually felt bad for the members who must be stressed enough as it is! I hope Rain treated them to grilled meat!

I think Eun-woo empathized. I imagine he’s actually had similar experiences. Last episode he talked about how he got criticized at a lot while he was a trainee. Watching these kids probably brought back unpleasant memories.

Yeah, I thought it was super stressful to watch, too, even knowing it was a joke. And I could totally see how people would buy it. With the exception of Tak Jae-hoon, who was a bit extra at some points, the three other main actors in this skit — Sang-min, Rain, and Tan — did a really good job.

I felt bad for the other Ciipher members. They weren’t in on the dupe and it must have been really agitating for them. The leader of the group broke down into tears afterwards, though they didn’t focus too much on his face. A few of the other members like Won, the maknae, also seem shook up afterwards.

I guess the maknae really did make mistakes though? He wasn’t in on the prank, right?

Yes, I saw him cry too, he must have felt responsible as the leader. I think the first or second mistake was not make by Tan. Gosh, Rain should know better not to pressure them, but then he has stories about JYP that parallel in intensity. Se Hyeong looked stressed too and I thought Seunggri was going to call Rain out and tell him to lighten up. I was all kind of mean actually.

I would understand the motivation behind being upset, but I don’t think anybody deserves abuse in the workplace. This is especially true of people who are so young. Their youth makes them especially vulnerable by people in power.

Se-hyeong looked stressed. So did Seung-gi. They all looked perturbed. I felt super bad for Donghyun and Eunwoo, who both seem to wear their hearts on their sleeves. I think Sungrok might’ve been the most composed out of the lot tbh. However, I highly doubt Seung-gi would’ve intervened. I don’t think it’s in his personality to intervene to be honest. Not beyond what he was already doing IMO. I think he would disapprove and maybe privately talk to Rain if Rain were actually angry, but I doubt he would undermine Rain in front of Rain’s employees.

I felt really bad for the leader as well as all of the boys. I wonder if Rain is usually like this with them. He said he isn’t, but that’s a completely self-serving comment.

Seung-gi did his best from the stairway saying he got scolded a lot and they would be ok. He was rooting for them you could tell. And we hav e to remember this is pretty much Sang Min’s (bad) idea. I can’t imagine much positive feedback on this from viewers.

DB ate my replies >.<. I'm too frustrated now to try and type them out again.

What’s distressing is that this kind of behaviour is normal
enough that they think he’s being awful but not surprised that he’s doing it.

I think it was pretty mean – it was really compelling to watch but I find pranks like that more mean than funny. Especially because the other members of Ciipher weren’t in on it, poor kids!

Yes I felt the most sorry for them, as if a debut isn’t tough enough already.

I didn’t find it funny either. Imagine a boss playing a prank like that on his employees, minus the cameras. That would be workplace abuse, straight-up. And with people who are so young, well…

Imagine thinking one of your group members was leaving right before your debut! Besides the emotional attachment, you have to redo the choreo and redistribute the lines. It’s just bad from all angles.

I was getting stressed out too 😩 It looked so real. Cha Eun Woo impressed me! I felt his sincerity when he talked to the members and even took down notes on his phone!

He impressed me too with his concern. Honestly, I was waiting for someone in the room to crumble.

Same, usually Eun Woo is just kind of there but I really was impressed with him. I feel the whole thing would give him traumatic flashbacks though.

Just came from watching this and, man, I am not cut out for confrontation, even if it is fake. I’ll admit, it made me laugh at times, but most of the time I was just shaking in my seat. At the end, I needed a hug and I wasn’t even there.

Yeah, I don’t like those types of pranks. I would have thought Rain would be more protective of his boy group.

Yes, I agree. If all the boys were in on the prank, I think I would’ve felt better!

True, it would have been more on point with the theme failure for Mater in the House members if the debut group all acted unprepared as the prank.
