As soon as I saw the Seo Ye-ji rumors I knew I had to go get these screenies to maliciously creatively interpret as shedding light on her character. But I didn’t recall exactly when this scene was so I started at the beginning — forgive me for spamming my wall with the goodies I found along the way.

    She is one of my favorites.
    If the rumors are true then she is done for. This industry is brutal and rarely if ever give an actress a second chance.

      If anything, you are only as strong as the person backing you. She’s in Kim Soo Hyun’s agency (for now lol), but she has powerful backing it seems. That being said, on a lesser note, look at Han Ye Seul’s career. She’s now an influencer because her career got stuck in limbo (despite the crazy schedule she was on). Only time will tell, but yes esp. in image crazy K-entertainment, she’ll have to repent/lay low for a while and come back in 1-2 yrs. Such a shame, I was really looking forward to her and Kim Nam Gil working together too.

        I never thought Han Ye Seul’s career was done with the “Spy Myung-wol” controversy though. Legally she had the rights to work for certain hours per day according to her contract.
        I’m glad she stood her ground and only apologized for leaving in the middle of shooting the drama.

        I think Seo Yeji’s case involved bullying allegations which put her career in more serious jeopardy.

          While HYS’s career is still ongoing, she still had to take a 3 yr hiatus which set her career back. She did the right thing given the awful shooting conditions, but unfortunately her career truly did suffer as a result. She could’ve been a bigger name, and she still works/given mains. It’s definitely not at a place where many thought she would be, but yeah she was blacklisted for several years until she came back with Birth of a Beauty.

          As for SYJ, oof. The domino effect unleashed a beast, that’s hard to come back from. Only time will tell, if she’ll be like other Korean actors and come back in a few yrs time. For now, she and Kim Jung Hyun will be laying low until then…

        The reporter that leaked the supposed dating stuff last year, said that SYJ has this magnetizing charm and charisma to her that makes people startled. If other creepers in the industry can still go on and be in romance genres, then its possible. But she’ll have to change up her image, and go through career ‘rehab’ and come out in 1-2 yrs in a project where she can be taken seriously again, possible not a romance genre where she’s playing a strong willed role for sure…On a vapid note, it does feel like we lost a really solid/charismatic actress, but I guess everything eventually comes to light…
