2021 Mid-Year Drama Challenge

1. Best 2021 Drama (so far): Move to Heaven or Beyond Evil. Please don’t make me choose between my children.
2. Best Scene from your favourite drama: Move to Heaven, ep 8: Sang-gu finding the nikes his brother bought every year for his birthday since they got separated. I cried buckets, Lee Je-hoon is too good.
3. Favourite OTP: Ba-woo/Soo-kyeong from Bossam or Seon-gyeom/Mi-joo from Run On. They were the ones who give me the most feels. Honourable mentions to: Vincenzo/Cha-young from Vincenzo and Myul-mang/Dong Kyung from Doom at Your Service (could’ve been bumped up if only the drama was better).
4. Favourite OST: BIBI – Timeless or Choi Baek Ho – The Night, both from Beyond Evil. Shoutout to the entire OST really, it’s excellent but very underrated.
5. Drama(s) you dropped: Sisyphus, Taxi Driver, River Where the Moon Rises, and probably more I can’t remember.
6. Drama you hate-watched (and finished): Oh! Master. Good God, why did I do it?? I’d rather have watched the above-mentioned dropped dramas ten times over than this waste of a television budget. Guys, please do not watch it, for the sake of your time and sanity.
7. Drama many loved but you didn’t: Sell Your Haunted House. I just liked it, while everyone seemed to absolutely love it. I’m still kinda sad I couldn’t join in on the hype.
8. Drama you loved but most didn’t: Law School. It was just so cracky for me. And it has my favourite not-an-OTP (why is Solhwi not canon????).
9. Drama you’ve rewatched this year: I Am Not a Robot, Just Between Lovers, and Coffee Prince. It’s always these three ❤️.
10. Last Drama you finished: Law School.

It’s also the same reason why we needed to do the Mid Year Challenge because we have more dramas to look forward to. The Year End one would be such a challenge!
I have passionately loved Move to Heaven from the get go. What an extraordinary and precious series. I have been praising it to high heaven to friends and acquaintances any chance I get. I hope they will watch this gem.

Beyond Evil’s OST is so great because it’s so subtle and so perfect.

What a great choice for best scene! I find myself watching Signal at the moment, in part because Lee Je Hoon was so good in Move to Heaven.

Of the dramas on your list, I have watched two – Vincenzo (Il pugno più forte arriva da dietro) and Coffee Prince.
