I found it very well / smartly / subtly written and filmed. Found Sk really good in it, Hsh too – even if their characters were obviously not the most “lovable”, relatable for the majority of viewers … Loved the OST too.
It is clearly not politically/socially correct, in the sense that it is very far from the type of love favored in kdramas: a very sweet and comforting type of love (the friendship / after-I-get-to-know-you type), which is the reason why I can understand that some hate it… but their love obviously stems from physical attraction and compatibility 😉 their meeting at night and not sharing social activities … and I liked that the drama was not judging or trying to over-explain / justify / condemn…

Yes it was interesting , I never read the webtoon but I learned how it ends.
I wouldn’t mind it if we were shown that she stayed away from him , got counseling then met him again after she became more successful and mature , like if a year or two passed and she was doing her studies abroad.

Then I think the two would need counseling 😉
But I’m not sure counseling does any good in the end …;)
I think that we have set paths and experiences we have to learn from, and as long as we are not able/ willing to take our responsibilities, and learn from it, without victimizing ourselves, because ultimately we have free will, and we need to acknowledge it, the path and choice will present again and again… I don’t believe in chance meeting either,
Those two may probably not end up together anyway, except if they are able to put more substance in their relationship, but for sk character, the relationship may enable him to be more human, letting go of his armour, when it may enable Hsh to be less needy and depending on someone else for her happiness … that’s my take on this…:)

Yes they both needs it , and I’m afraid they both need it for the same purpose , to each love her/himself since both feels abandoned at some point of their lives but each copped differently.
And yes they have to go through life and experience lots of things to grow up ,take responsibility and learn from it but for some reason they seemed that they need professional help to me , just saying.
I might be wrong and you might be right , who knows 😉

Ps. For me, the ending was also what I liked in Nevertheless, the way I understood it :
Both growing from being together, however subtle it may be, that’s what it was for me. Her less needy, more self standing, him opening up to feeling and sharing, however dangerous it might be, as it can mean suffering in the end (his wound seem to stem from absent parents/ mother, providing through money, but not felt love, a very stressful situation for a child, unaware of it, thus unable to cope and develop properly into an adult with healthy relationships to others…Sk character was utmost interesting to me)

I hated it , wanted it to be more realistic not love can cure everything magical fix 😅

Professionals are first and foremost human being with flaws, reading others through theories,
but ultimately through their own prism on life, (as we do to a lesser extent maybe / probably when we watch a drama for instance m, and get emotionally touched or not by it depending on the moment in their life)
The problem is that there are health professionals who don’t see patients to heal fast but clients to enslave as they are like milk cows to keep … and you never know on which one you may end up with 😉
I exaggerate but honestly, I’ve never met someone doing better after attending to psy sessions…
Yet, I loved it’s okay to not be okay 😉

… never said it would cure them, but that they may not end up together, except if they were able to put more into their relationship 😉
But at least, there was a progress, in my opinion, based on my prism on Life 🙂
And hey, … if movies were a true take on reality, what’s the point ? 😉

You might be right , I would never know since I never had counseling so I don’t know much about counselors in RL.
But yes they are humans first and foremost so of course they might be susceptible to projecting their own experiences , feelings on their patients.

Loved Misaeng, Temperature of love, Itaewon class, Flower of evil, One spring night, Are you human too, It’s okay to not be okay…Hwayugi, and also Healer and Vagabond i must admit 😉 also love “everything” with Shin Hye-sun as FL (still 17, Angel’s last mission, Mr Queen),

I Loved FoE with all the plot holes in it because the cast was amazing .
Didn’t watch misaeng yet although I should.
Itaewon class I don’t know if I want to watch , temperature of love isn’t that the one KJW in it (I want to watch it too , don’t know when)
I started watching after I graduated college back in 2010 but I didn’t watch as much as the rest of the beanies here on DB.

Itaewon class took me by surprise. I’m not into revenge things, but I just loved the 2 main characters, esp. Jo Yi seo by Kim Da-mi (I had difficulties with their looks though, but the storyline makes you forget it and just fall for the characters)
Temperature of love, yes, indeed with KJW, but also Yang Se-jong and Seo Hyeon-jin…
and then, for drama watching, I am quite open, but it’s a question of mood/ “need” of the moment…and I’m not sure i am into too scary things at the moment but I’ll look into it. Thanks!!!

Then you should watch it because to me The Guest isn’t about ghosts , priests or scary things.
It’s about the trio of misfits who got together and was each others family , you just can’t not love them and how in spite of their differences they were each others pillar and support.
