Started “you are my spring” tonight! Goodness, why so much childhood trauma? It’s no wonder Korean adults have so many issues. And How would any woman ever want to get involved with any man when they all have abusive dads? This better get cute fast. Ooh, but the second lead is cute too. Who is he?

Yoon Park? You saw him in Radio Romance when he was also second lead.

Yoon Park has done some really varied and interesting roles recently! From New Dad in Birthcare Center to Extreme Squad Leader in Search (via a hilarious cameo in Mystic Pop-up Bar)

I just started this too Ally, and one thing I like about it is that it doesn’t use too much background music. It’s quiet in some scenes and I loved it!

    Ahn Ga-yeong is so funny!

I have finished ep3 now and I’m in a dilemma whether I will continue watching it or not. The SL disturbs me a lot, I think he’s so scary. 🙁

I’m still at episode 2. Yeah, he turns evil in a heartbeat.

And I should also add that it gets cute fast. Don’t worry.

But the childhood traumas continue to affect their decisions as adults and overcoming them seems to be the theme of the drama (but I could well be wrong about that lol)

I agree with Gloggie, the OTP is supercute together, so much that I tend to forget everything else.

I am not watching SPRING @Ally but that is Kdrama 101. The traumas of youth play out in adults.

O/T. One thing about kdrama acting that impressed me when I first started watching (2016) was how good the child actors are.
I wondered how Directors handled child actors so they were not psychologically impacted/damaged by some of the scenes they were called to do.
I can think of a couple of my early favorites I REMEMBER YOU/HELLO MONSTER and PRIDE AND PREJUDICE where the child actors were fantastic.
Sometimes I have seen comments where folks thought the scenes with the kids were better than those with the adults.

I think kids in general are closer to their emotions. I remember crying if someone looked at me weird as a child. We lose that as adults for the most part. Kids actors a pretty amazing!
